He's bit wet from hair to fur so his hair is still sticking to his skin, but he is drying up fairly. He just needs a good hair drying.
"Ah good." He's relieved that he's no longer smell like a stray alley cat. Obediently he finds himself on her bed, curled up and loafing and relaxing, marveled at how comfy the bed is. "So this is what a bed feels like. I always imagine it's a nice place to take a nap and sleep in between the blankets." He remarked as he slowly closes his eyes to relax.
Cute, he was being cute right now. Once he was loafing and relaxing, she moves a hand to start petting him, humming softly. "And you will always sleep in a bed from now on. Sleep, get your rest. This week will be a busy one for you." With groomers, vet appointments and perhaps finding a new place for them to live so it won't feel cramped. She leans over to grab a small towel to gently dry his hair, focusing on trying to make it as relaxing as she possibly can.
"Goodnight, my black cat." She whispers before bending down to give him a kiss on the top of his head. Time to send him off to sleep with warmth and love.
"You best go to sleep and get your rest." He said with a sleepy murmur. At least now, she can pet him and stroke through his ears and tail as much as he wants. She'll discover she can curled up to him for warmth and comfort, and she can hear the rumbling of his purrs throughout the night.
It will take a few days until the next few days turned into a week. At first, he's a lazy cat without much routine other than to watch t.v, lounge on her sofa, play his instrument, and help her with cooking their meals and eat together. Eventually, he trusts enough to longue and sit next to her, loafing and she could cuddle up with him for warmth and comfort until night falls.
"Don't worry, I will, but I want to pamper you a little." Which she does by stroking his ears and tail, petting and singing softly to him. Before long, she yawns and curls up to him and falls asleep as well.
The next few days were busy but felt oh so satisfying as she was not only taking care of him, but was also slowly developing trust and bond with him. Whenever he showed signs of trusting her, she would reward him with affection, her own warmth and love. Currently, she was using both hands to give him a head massage as they longue about.
"You have both a grooming and vet appointment coming up. Afterwards, I was thinking of taking you to some music stores to see the price range for a violin that you want to get." So she can save up to get it.
She then smiles and gives him a light kiss on his head. "You are so cuddly, much better than any plushie or pillow out there."
"I'm glad you think so." He was well-dressed for the occasion, trying to look handsome as he looks. But to recieve grooming and medical attention for the first time excites him and scares him all the same. The trust between her and him grows stronger by the day, each day filled with warmth, love, and affection.
"You don't have to." He sai softly but then again after all of this, that means he's going to get registered as an adopted pet and not a homeless street cat, and at the end of the day, his happiness is secured with her. "But all right."
"Whenever you're ready, let's go." To the vet and then the grooming, he meant as he waited a long time for those appointments.
She smiles and glad that he can pull of the clothes she got him from her job. It was a big day for him and was proud of how much he has grown to trust at least her.
"Yes, I do. It is your passion and something you love to do. Plus, we are just looking and maybe if we find one that we can get today, we will pick it up." She reaches up to pet him.
Leanne gets up and starts to head to the front door. "Lets go then, the vet first and then the groomers. Let me know whenever it gets too much for you." But they will need to go through both appointments. "I will be by your side. But first lets get to the bus stop."
"You really want to get this done?" He said. But since this is what she wanted of him. "All right." It's a simple matter of getting dressed properly and putting on his shoes. He is a bit nervous of receiving medical attention. "You better stay by my side especially when they administer those shots." Since he knew he never received one before.
He follows her to the bus stop and hopped on, riding all the way to the vet place within the city. He knew the vet is also the one who can administer and inject microchip to get him registered so he'll be a legal pet and he'll be allowed to stay with her in her home.
"Yes I do, if you want to be my kitty cat." A small playful tease. "We have to make sure you are healthy and get you at your best." The smile doesn't leave her as she nods, "of course, I will hold your hand as well." Since shots can be scary as well as the process of getting microchipped.
The ride on the way to the vet, she semi-cuddles him to give him comfort for the upcoming experience. At the vets, she orders for all the vaccines and shots up to get him caught up as well as microchipped, whispering promises to eat wherever he wanted and like she promised, she held his hand throughout the ordeal.
Once they arrived at the vet. It was quite his first experience. First signing in at the front desk, sitting in the waiting room with the other nervous, antsy pet people sitting with their owners. Once his name is called and he went inside where the vet professional is waiting to give him a physical check.
Well, he behaved and was patient. One of the few cats who didn't get jumpy and yowled and he gets a commendation from the vet for his good behavior. He did hiss softly, ears tuck down when he felt the prick of the needle. A sharp yowl and then it's over.
When all said and done, he was given a green light and a clean bill of health. He's good to go.
"That's the smarts." He said when he looks at his bandaid on his arm. But it's over. "So what's next?"
She felt almost as nervous as the antsy pet people as she was worried that there could be something wrong with her new pet. When he was called, the nerves left her as they finally met the vet.
Leanne felt proud of her new cat for being so well behaved as the worst he did was yowl. With the green bill of health, she beams and moves to pet him, smiling as brightly as she can.
"You did good, that was the worst of it. But it will keep you healthy, just one more place and then you will get a reward." She promises.
The next place was a groomers to get him back to a starting point for her to keep up. "Are you ready?"
It was over and he was vaccinated. Part of him long wondered what it's like. "For my health, I guess." He said with a cheerful swish of his tail as she pets him.
With a nod and a smile, "Yes, I'm ready when you are." He took a guess and it's the groomers to fix and clean up his fur and hair, which badly in need of trimming. "I very much want to fix my hair." He said.
