"You really want to get this done?" He said. But since this is what she wanted of him. "All right." It's a simple matter of getting dressed properly and putting on his shoes. He is a bit nervous of receiving medical attention. "You better stay by my side especially when they administer those shots." Since he knew he never received one before.
He follows her to the bus stop and hopped on, riding all the way to the vet place within the city. He knew the vet is also the one who can administer and inject microchip to get him registered so he'll be a legal pet and he'll be allowed to stay with her in her home.
"Yes I do, if you want to be my kitty cat." A small playful tease. "We have to make sure you are healthy and get you at your best." The smile doesn't leave her as she nods, "of course, I will hold your hand as well." Since shots can be scary as well as the process of getting microchipped.
The ride on the way to the vet, she semi-cuddles him to give him comfort for the upcoming experience. At the vets, she orders for all the vaccines and shots up to get him caught up as well as microchipped, whispering promises to eat wherever he wanted and like she promised, she held his hand throughout the ordeal.
Once they arrived at the vet. It was quite his first experience. First signing in at the front desk, sitting in the waiting room with the other nervous, antsy pet people sitting with their owners. Once his name is called and he went inside where the vet professional is waiting to give him a physical check.
Well, he behaved and was patient. One of the few cats who didn't get jumpy and yowled and he gets a commendation from the vet for his good behavior. He did hiss softly, ears tuck down when he felt the prick of the needle. A sharp yowl and then it's over.
When all said and done, he was given a green light and a clean bill of health. He's good to go.
"That's the smarts." He said when he looks at his bandaid on his arm. But it's over. "So what's next?"
She felt almost as nervous as the antsy pet people as she was worried that there could be something wrong with her new pet. When he was called, the nerves left her as they finally met the vet.
Leanne felt proud of her new cat for being so well behaved as the worst he did was yowl. With the green bill of health, she beams and moves to pet him, smiling as brightly as she can.
"You did good, that was the worst of it. But it will keep you healthy, just one more place and then you will get a reward." She promises.
The next place was a groomers to get him back to a starting point for her to keep up. "Are you ready?"
It was over and he was vaccinated. Part of him long wondered what it's like. "For my health, I guess." He said with a cheerful swish of his tail as she pets him.
With a nod and a smile, "Yes, I'm ready when you are." He took a guess and it's the groomers to fix and clean up his fur and hair, which badly in need of trimming. "I very much want to fix my hair." He said.
