[Where?... What? Where is she? What is going on? Leanne wakes up in a startled motion and looks around. Wait a minute, why was her clothes there and why is she wearing underwear (AKA the cotton sundress)?! She reaches over to her dress, moving to her knees.... Only to stumble at the action and faceplant a little, her wings flapping with much gusto before returning to their limp state.

Leanne shakily moves herself to a half standing position, reaching up to rub at her face. How long... How long has she been asleep and why can't she hear the trees anymore? She blinks and goes to examine her hands and arms.... They are so long and big! She blinks a few more times before shaking her head, letting out a few bird chirps. No, she can admiring how big she has gotten just yet! First she needs to remaster the technique of walking again!

Okay, one more try! She can do this! She moves to fully stand up, waving a little as she stands. YES! She has gotten the first step, being able to stand again. Now comes the hardest part... Walking. She goes to take one deep breath and moves a foot to take one single step... Only to stumble and fall flat on her face again in a flurry of feathers before the video shuts off.]

[She blinks at his bow and his words, couldn't really help but to giggle at the both of them. She likes this beorc already. He is amusing. Okay, for him smiling as much as she can now.] Please just call me Leanne, Kurt or I will keep on calling you, 'my lord'.

[She blinks but then perks up at the sound of his power.] Really? You can perform such a wondrous feat?! [She wants to see but asking would be improper to do. Especially since she just met him.]

You drive a hard bargain! I really have more reason to call you princess, but if you insist, than Leanne it is!

Yeah! It can really come in handy. Do you... need help or anything?

[Finally goes to rest her wings back in a relax position, shaking them off a little. The smile never really leaving her face.]

I do insist, it will bring my heart great joy.. My title means nothing in this place unless some of my people came here. [Which she does doubt it.]

Perhaps one day, I will get to see your power in action. [She blinks and now just goes to smile warmly, cupping her wings closer and ruffling them.] A beorc is already on his way here. I do not wish trouble you as well with aiding me. But I thank you, Kurt for the offer.

Great joy, huh? Can't say no to that! But if your people ever do come here, I wouldn't mind being a knight or something.

No problem! It just seemed like the gentlemanly thing to do. If you do ever want to meet up sometime, I... I'd gladly give you a top-notch demonstration! A beorc, huh? Never heard of that. [Sounds like an orc, but Kurt can't remember seeing something that ugly around...]

[He stares for a moment as he hears her song. It's a stunning, beautiful melody. So rich and sounds so ancient. And a little like a church choir.]

[Once he realizes he was staring he breaks out of it with a blush.]

Wow, that... That really was beautiful! That's definitely a winning singing voice, if I do say so myself.

[She doesn't mind the staring but it's now her turn to blush at his praise.]

Ah, I am undeserving of such praise. My family can sing far fairer than I.

[She goes to let out a few giggles and shakes her head.] It is alright, Kurt. It is just something that my people and race speaks like.

A whole family of singers? You must make quite the choir! But oh darnit, it's too late for me to take that praise back! We'll just have to say you're worthy of it.

I should just be more careful about what I say, if the word's a taboo with your people.

[She goes to let out a small scoff.]

There is no way I can win this is there? Yes, yes we did make... Quite the choir? [Hopefully she said that right.]

It isn't really taboo just.... Really crass and deplorable. I am sure that Beorcs have something similar to call us as well.

Well hey, if winning means feeling worse about yourself, maybe you should rethink your priorities. [Within a winning smile.] And that's good to know. [Still he can't help but be worried a bit by the past tense.]

I see... If there isn't, I don't know about it. But I also don't know what you're considered next to these, uh, "beorc"s. You honestly don't seem much different from a normal person from here. [Sure these wings are really huge, but Kurt doesn't really know that Luceti wings are all the same size...]

What I speak is truth though. My brothers and my mother's voices were far more fairer than mine. (She really can't sense anything through these magic tomes. So no picking up on his worry.)

I am no Beorc. I am a part of the laguz race. The Heron clan to be exact. We are different from Beorcs. We are more like animals then beorcs.

If you insist, I'll have to take your word for it. [And hearing more past tense makes the concern slip into his voice.] I'm sorry, something... happen to them?

Like... animals? There isn't exactly something like a laguz in our world. Well there are, uh, mutants... some of whom can look like animals. But I'm glad for a chance to meet a laguz.

I do quite insist. [She just smiles before blinking at the concern and the question. She goes to keep the smile on her face.] You can say something like that. To not only them but all of my people. But it is alright, I have already forgiven those responsible for it.

Yes. [And for him, she will shift into her Heron form to show him.] Exactly like that. [She goes to at once, fluff out all of her fathers to keep warm.] Mutant? What is a mutant? Thank you, the same can be said for me as well.

[It's... even worse than he thought. His face sinks.] I'm... I'm so sorry, Leanne. How could you forgive someone responsible for his?

[The transformation is surprising and pleasant, although his spirits are still down from learning that.] That... that is amazing. I didn't think that meant... you could really make yourself a heron. But a mutant... in my world, mutants are like hum- people, who are born with something that makes them extra. Skills and abilities that normal people weren't supposed to have. Sometimes, they can look like normal people, and other times... they can look really, really weird.

It is in the past and nothing can be done about it. What would I benefited from holding anger and hatred against the beorcs that did it? My soul and whole being would only become poisoned by such a path and... The memory and the honor my family and people had, I would destroy everything that they lived and died for if I do not forgive them.

[Oh... Oh she really didn't want him to be so sad over her people and family.] But they are still a person are they not? They are still alive and their own person. No matter their abilities and how they look like, it is not who they are. You are one aren't you, Kurt?

[Though, she still feels bad for his sadness and goes to take a deep breath and closes her eyes in order to sing to and for him. Please don't be so sad, Kurt.]

I think I understand. [After all, isn't that what he tried to warn Rogue about regarding Mystique, before all of that went south?] It's just... hard, sometimes. To forgive.

You're right. I... I am. I'm... as much a person as you are. [He closes his own eyes as she starts to sing and just listens. And he lets the calm come over him, breathing carefully.]

True forgiveness will never be easy to do. But it will always make you stronger.

It is nothing to be ashamed of, you are alive and you are your own free person, Kurt. So say what you are again, but this time with a bit more pride.

[When she finishes her song, she goes to slowly reopen her eyes and just goes to look towards him with sadness and compassion.

She is sorry for making you feel bad, are you doing better now?]

[She does have a worried look on her face as she continues to watch him.]

[She smiles as he repeats just what he is again.]

See? Doesn't it feel better to take a bit more pride in what you are, my friend. I am glad and honored to meet a mutant.

For reminding me what forgiveness means. And what it means to be me.

It does feel better, in a way. But me, I'm glad too be able to meet a laguz - and a princess, too!

Then I am glad to have helped you. I am glad that we think the same way when it comes to forgiveness.
