It has been a long day and Leanne for one was glad that it was time to relax. Working part time, combined with homework gave her very little time to relax and hang out with others. This was a very rare day indeed as for once, she had actually finished all of her homework not only on time but also ahead of time! And it was a half day at work as well. What better way to celebrate this rare day than to go to the park? Moving at once to a more hidden section of the park, she sends a message off to Richter to meet her here for a light dinner together.
And what has she prepared? Some light sandwiches with ice tea and some cookies for desert. Making sure to get Richter's favorite type of cookies as well for this impromptu dinner.
A beautiful day, dinner and perhaps some books with good company is the best way to fully celebrate such a rare day indeed.
[ ooc: longtime friends with a history? like they dated before, someone had to move, then they bumped into each other years later, now they hang and chill whenever they can? ]
His boat is more of the same she's been in. A lot of work, a lot of study, and a lot of on the job training. How he's managed time between all of that and not tear himself in half is a mystery to himself, but he has caught moments where he's awake one second then asleep the next only to wake up and do something.
Time for himself(to sleep) let alone others was rare, but they come every now and then. This time around he had managed to get a few hours of sleep before her message came in. Dinner at the park wasn't a bad idea. It was a change of pace and it's good to be out and around the city that isn't just back and forth between places.
'I'm here. Where you at?' He sent once he arrived at the park, slowly walking along until he either spots her or she replies.
[ooc; That sounds good! Actually it sounds perfect!]
Their lives never seem to give them any breathing room to actually function. Leanne sighs from her spot, looking out to the lake and felt herself getting lost in the view. That is until his message arrived and she smiles at it.
'By the lake. Found a spot surrounded by bushes and trees that is perfect. I will stand up so you can see me.'
Message sent and she goes to stand up, stretching a little. Even though she is 'dressed casual', her hair was still braided neatly as well as wearing a cotton dress. She goes to scan the area, hoping to see him and once she does spot him, watch her start waving at him with both of her arms! No matter how many years has past since they known each other, she still can't help but to give him that type of greeting and wave.
He'd reply and tell her not to bother but, she'd do it regardless because that's just who she is. Oh well, nothing he can do about it now.
He jogs towards the lake area of the park fully expecting to see a blonde standing up, probably waving, getting - not only his attention - but everyone else's too. And he was right, sighing before walking to her so she doesn't anything else to draw attention and potentially embarrass or put him in a difficult situation.
Hey now, it was the best way to greet people! Especially after not seeing them in so long.
She was waving like there was no one else in the area but him and her. Who cares what others thought? All that matter was him finding her so she didn't mind any extra attention. She just smiles as brightly as she could up at him as he came closer.
"Nope! Not at all! I hope you are hungry. I brought some sandwiches and got your favorite type of cookies! But those are for only after sandwiches are eaten."
And have a kiss on the cheek before she reaches over to grab his hand and pull him towards the spot she picked.
Slice of Life for now. Feel free to choose their relationship
