He's a musician and an artist. He doesn't make much, but he lives with his bandmates. There isn't much he could do other than make ends meet with low-paying jobs, being nearly blind with low vision and wearing dark glasses, and he relies on his bandmates to make his life easier. If they're lucky, they land a gig to make it big and split among themselves and pay the bills.

One day, a friend of theirs from his college days called and said they have a rabbit to give away and in needed of a good home. The friend shows pictures to his phone and the moment he laid eyes on a particular picture, a blond rabbit girl with long wavy blonde hair and curls at the ends, wearing a flowing white dress, he fell in love and wanted to adopt.

He waited a long time, waiting for adoption. Once she and her siblings are old enough to be adopted, he goes to pick her up, introduce himself as Xiao Xingchen and carrying her in a cage, and in a car driven by a friend, takes her home.

Inside the cage, there's pillows and blankets all warm and toasty during the ride. Whoever the voice of her owner, he is nice, has a soft voice, if anything sing-song, and he seems to like to sing a lot with his friends in the van.

Too bad the radio plays some heavy rock music, so that maybe make the ride a little noisy on the way to their new home.

Leanne was born into a loving home, into a large litter as well. She was the runt and didn't really expect to live unto adulthood. In terms of dominance, she was on the lower end of the totem pole.

She was the litter groomer, grooming everyone and keeling her head held high to be seen as submissive. But that all changed the moment that she was adopted.

At first, she kept fleeing, trying to evade her now previous owner. After a small chase, they managed to capture her and put her in the cage.

She remained as small as she possibly can make herself inside her cage. Long bunny ears perking forward to try and pick out the voice of her new owner. Only to flatten them again and goes to try and burrow into the blankets a little.

The music was loud, almost too loud for her and she is in a strange place with strange scents all around. She was worried about what her fate will be.

During the ride, Xingchen peers into the cage to see her all curled up and burrow into the blanket. "Is the music too loud? I'm sorry." He then tells his friends to turn it down and he teases them that they're scary. The music becomes softer and lowers down, less loud.

The car arrives at the house, and then when it's time to get off, he carries the cage inside the house. With a walking stick, he taps the ground to find his way inside the house, climbing upstairs to his room and locks the door.

He opens the cage to peer inside, "Leanne?" He speaks softly to her. "Time to get out." He tugs at the blanket to tease her to hop outside of her cage, and see if he could get her to sleep on her bed that he prepared for her prior to her arrival and introduce himself as her guardian and new home.

She remained borrowed into the blankets, her nose always twitching as she sniffs the air. This environment was scary. Too scary, she was already missing her litter mates and mother. Though, she notices that the music was turned down. It made it a lot easier to hear everyone.

When they finally arrived home, she felt her cage being picked up and carried. She borrowed herself deeper into the blankets and pillows, feeling the tiny amount of security they offered.

Her nose never stopped twitching as so many new scents were assaulting her senses. It wasn't until she heard the cage door unlocked and Xingchen's soft voice that she peeked her head out, not quite wanting to leave the cage yet. Though when he tugged on the blankets, she quickly moved to hop out of it, pausing a few feet out of it.

She looks around before letting her gaze fall on her new owner. She did partially understood that she was given away to be a pet. A pet... Does that mean that the human before her was her new owner? Did he actually picked her or was it by random that he got her? It... It might be best to give him a good first impression so... She moves to hold her head in a high position,doing her best to appear submissive to him.

Xingchen has the phone number of the original owner, and the owners of where her family members and siblings went, so he can keep in touch. When she came out of the cage, there's nothing scary in the room. Just a few pictures of his family, of himself and his bandmates through their travels hung on the walls, a shelf full of college books and novels, and on his desk, a computer, and a few guitars connected to an amplifier, and a piano keyboard in the corner.

He backed away. He relies mostly on his hearing but he can hear her body weight and footsteps as she hopped out of the cage.

"Welcome home, Leanne. I hope you like it here. If you need anything, let me know. Over there, there's your bed." He struggles to find it until he finds the soft smaller bed in the corner with a soft pink blanket and rabbit-shaped pillows. His bandmates help him fixed it.

"I'm Xingchen, your guardian. I'm going to take care of you from now." He senses and guess where she is, and reaches out, rather clumsily to pet her through her long, velvet soft furry rabbit ears and long wavey blonde hair. "You're really are a rabbit, Leanne."

Leanne was still taking in her new environment, her ears moving from laying flat on her head to being full alert, her nose never stop twitching. She goes to look towards him as he tries to find her bed. So... he can't see.... can he?

"Ah... it... it... it is good to me-me-meet you Master." She spoke softly. "The bed... its... its cute."

She freezes briefly as he goes to pet her, unused to touch or affection. She giggles a little at his words. "What else would I be, master?"

Being touched and 'groomed like this felt good.

He walks slowly, his arms reaching out, searching for the bed. He did have the layout of the room memorized. He cannot see, so when he found her fixed bed, he pats on it and then turns in her direction and smiles.

"It's your bed now. My bed is over there." It's the big bed on the far another side. He feels very shy owning and caring for a pet, as he has never done so before.

"Leanne, I cannot see. I'm blind." He points to his eyes. "But if you need anything. Food, clothes, I have it, you let me know. As for clothes, I think it's packed in your bag." There's a suitcase next to her cage. "You just need to open it. If there is anything missing, I can call and they will bring it over tomorrow."

She goes to slowly move towards him, her ears perked forward to best follow and listen to him. Emerald eyes follow where he was pointing towards his own bed, she goes to thump a foot to alert him where she was.

"You.... Your bed...." She was shy as she was only used to her littermates and previous owner. "Master is blind?" Some of her shyness leaving her. He didn't really pick her did he? Maybe her previous owner picked her for him.

"I will try not to burden you. I dont need much." She looks towards the suitcase next to her cage. "I will look through it. Does.... Does.... Does... Master need help?"

He can hear her thumping her foot and hopping, "Mm-hm. Try to get yourself familiar. There's limited space, so this house is shared with my bandmates. This is the only room I have and I have to pay rent for it."

With a nod, "Mm, I'm legally blind. I can see color and shapes, and where you are if you're close to me, but everything is a blur."

Shaking his head, "I don't need help. Help yourself. There are a drawer and a closet, so feel free to use them to store your clothes. Because I can't see well, I have taken a guess where my clothes are in the cabinet."

He sat on the edge of his bed, and he's all smiles. "After you put your clothes away, I'll introduce you to the rest of the house."

She keeps up with the thumping just so he knows where she is. She blinks as she listens and frowns a little. "So... master only has this room to live in?" Oh dear, she will have to do her best to make sure not to take up too much space.

Her ears perked forward as he gave information about himself and tilts her head. "But... But master cannot see, I... I can try and help him."

He really did seem to be all smiles but she couldn't help but to worry about him. For now, the small amount of clothes she has, she will place them on her bed with her so not to take up too much of his precious space.

"What... What if the rest doesn't like me?" Her ears moved up and on high alert and her nose, twitching to take in all the scents and trying to pick up new scents.

It will take a while for them to connect and communicate to each other, but he follows the sound of her thump and footsteps. He has a keen sense of hearing, so working with music helps him with that.

"Yes, I cannot see. I don't expect you to help. Only that you're comfortable in my home." He continues to smiles. "One day, you can fix your own space and make it your ideal bedroom."

"I don't think so. They'll know you're here. If you're ready, let me show you the house." He opens the door and gives her a tour of where the bathroom is, so she can shower, the other bedrooms of his bandmates and who is the owner, and then leads her downstairs to the living room and kitchen.

"And that's the entire house, Leanne."

Once she is fully settled down, then she shall be far more open to start the bonding with him.

"I... I will try to fulfill master's desires." She speaks softly but has an unsure look on her face about making her own space. She was the runt and the bottom of the pecking order among her siblings.

Leanne follows him softly as he gives her the tour, a hand reaching out to hold onto the back of his shirt as they tour the house, making mental notes of each location. Once they arrive at the kitchen, she goes to sniff around, thumping a foot to let him know where she is.

"Th-Th-Thank you master.... Is there anything else I should be aware of?"

After showing her around the house and introduce her to his bandmates, he leads her back up the stairs where he sat on the bed and sense her presence by the sound of her voice.

"Not really. You should tell me what you like to eat for tonight for dinner in a few hours. I prepared vegetables before your coming, so you have plenty of good things to eat. Carrots, lettuce, broccoli, lots of yummy fruits too."

She tries to stay close to him so it would be easier to find her. At a later time, she will have to explore a bit more throughly. Her nose never stopped twitching as she follows him.

"Ah, I would be happy with whatever you make. You have done so much for one as myself... Once I learn more of everyone's routine... I can help out and earn my keep... And make it worth the effort you made to adopt me."

He takes a good guess when he sense her close by, and he reaches out to feel the air at first, and then finding the top of her hand, feeling her soft wavy blonde hair, he pets between her velvet soft bunny ears.

"You don't have to help or do anything to earn your keep. I'll take care of you. You have a home here and I'll do everything I can to make you happy, Leanne."

She freezes briefly when his hand touched the top of her head. But then she relaxes to his touch.

"O.. Okay. But if you need me to help, just let me know. I can try to take care of you as well." She then moves to nuzzle her face against his hand so he could feel her smile.

He felt terrible that there isn't a lot of space in a cramp house. But for him, he needed the company of his housemates to help himself get around. He pets her shortly, and kept it brief as he felt her ears twitch nervously. He cannot see her shocked expression. A brief touch of what he felt is her face and chin, and he lowers his hand down.

How very sweet, "I think we'll be fine from here. Try to relax and if you need anything as well."

Night soon fell and for dinner, he brought her a plate of food, which is a salad and water. He's trying his best, and he show her the bathroom where she can take a shower (while minding the other housemates when they use it) before resting in for the first night where he ended his day with the lights shut-off, composing his music on his laptop computer on his bed.

"Try to get some sleep." He said to her gently when everything in the room gets dark.

The cramped space for now, not a main concern. She feels him slowing down his petting and soon stopping.

"I will, master.. Ah! To relax and if I need anything."

While waiting for night time, she remained near his side or back to her bed. Her ears perked up when he brought her dinner, and goes to try and eat as quietly as possible. The shower helped wash away all the stress and nerves of the sudden adoption and new environment. When it was time for bed, her ears perked up when the lights were turned off, she notices his laptop was still on.

"I will, master." She watches him closely, her nose twitching and once he seems to be focused on his composing, she tries to climb into his bed to curl up near him in order to sleep near him.

He smiles softly when she climbs in. It's innocent for now as they keep each other warm. He finished his work on the computer and then shut it off to put it away.

When he lies down to pull the blanket over each other to keep warm, he'll wrap his arm loosely around her. Her long blonde hair splayed over the bed.

"Leanne, try to sleep." He strokes her ears and hair to calm her down, as he closes his eyes, and holds her close for cuddles.

It is innocent as Leanne is mainly seeking comfort due to moving to a strange environment, as well as bonding with this human who is now her master.

She idly watches him as he works but blinks when it seemed like he noticed that she climb on the bed but... Didn't seem angry. That helped her to relax a bit more and she moves in to snuggle with him even moreso, moving in to tuck herself against him.

"Mmmh... I will do my best..." Which would be easy due to her exhaustion of the day's events. Her eyes closing as he strokes her ears, finally letting out a shuddering sigh and relaxing in his arms.

Days turn into weeks and then months as they bond together. He lives a simple life for a man with limited vision. He spends his days composing and practicing music, playing gigs with his band, and balancing his day studying for college work.

He learns how to care for his rabbit, making sure she has everything she needs and makes time to spend time with her when he could between schoolwork between terms through his semester. Dresses and clothes were bought for her wardrobe, providing whatever he can.

Overall, life wasn't so bad. As long he provides earplugs when his bandmates get noisy at night, playing their music.

He's a quiet man on quiet days when he does have time, giving her pets and cuddles to build up her trust and bond, and anything she needs, he's very quick to give to her.

"Someday, I think I'll move out and I'll get a place of my own. What do you think?" He asked her one night as he cuddles with her. "Would you go with me if I ever move out?"

She was a simple rabbit with simple needs, but as the days turned into weeks and then months, she slowly forgot about her previous life before him as their bond became stronger.

Leanne did eventually learn and feel safe enough to request for things, allowing him to take care of her as well as spoiling her a little. She had learn to be extra quiet while he is working on either his music or college.

The ear plugs were a life saver for her as while she is used to Xingchen, she was still slowly getting used to his bandmates.

On the quieter days, she goes to enjoy cuddling and grooming him, enjoying his company. Though sometimes, she was a bit more demanding of pets and attention than other times.

Her ears perked forward at the mentioning of moving out and tilts her head. She was about to bury her face against him. "I would go where ever you go, master. Would be you okay living without your friends and bandmates?"

"We'll be all right if we move. I'm only renting this room because the college is nearby and it's easier for me to walk there. But we're going to need a space for ourselves. I'll be graduating next month, so I think we'll be moving soon, but I don't know when."

He smiles at her. "Also this house is getting crowded. One of the bandmates got his girlfriend pregnant and they're moving in because they plan to get married. While nobody thinks it's strange for me to keep a rabbit and everyone is cool with it, but I know how noisy it gets and you need a quiet place to sleep."

He pets through her long ears and her blonde hair. He's used to petting her and touching her to calm her. He smiles again, "So we shall be moving. It'll be farther away from where I originally adopt you, but that doesn't mean you can't visit."

Her nose twitches as she listens to him. "More space for us? I like the sound of that. Master is graduating? I will have to do something special for that! Master worked very hard for it!"

She smiles back at him, making sure to press her face against him so he could feel her smile. "Pregnant? I love babies!" But then he mentions about her having a quiet place to sleep, she moves to quickly give him a kiss on the cheek! "I love you master!"

Then his petting continued and she just moves in to snuggle against him. Her patches of fur giving her extra softness. "As long as I am with you... I will be happy. I am sure that my mother and siblings will feel the same way."

How cute, he's growing fond of her everyday as their bond and love grows. "Yes, I'm graduating. I worked very hard for it. It's scary to move on and form a new life together." He already thought a lot of plans ahead for years, knowing his own disability.

He's close his bandmates and making music with them, but it's a job and minor he does on the side, and a lifestyle he's outgrowing out of it. He knew stories of children and babies will cheer her up, but there won't be room for them and their room he's renting is too small.

With a soft laugh, "I love you too." Of course, he thought it meant between human and pet, but he wondered if it's something more than that. He wraps his arms around her slender waist, quite loosely, and nuzzles into her hair, catching her soft floral scent.

"We'll be moving to the city. It's easier to find jobs there. Plus, you don't have to worry about who sees you in the bathroom." Since it was a crowded house.

She goes to thumps a few times with a leg to indicate her happiness. "I will do what I can to make it not scary."

He was her master, she will be a good pet and support him in whatever. Children and babies would always make her happy as she had strong maternal instincts.

Her love for him was the same as a pet for her master. Though a part of her was seeing him as a potential mate for her. Another series of happy thumps as the series of affections from him.

"I would love that. It always scared me when it happened. I can try and find a job as well if it will help!"

"Leanne, only you can see with good eyes. So you have to tell me when we go searching for a new home if it's a new home you like and be comfortable for you. I'll be searching for a new place."

He can hear her thumps, so he turns his head toward to her direction. Unfortunately, having children of his own isn't really on his mind. Doesn't cross it and he doesn't have an idea about it.

"I'm not sure if they have jobs for pets, but you can always try your best." He reaches for her to pull into her hug, wrapping his arms around her, and he's all smiles and supportive. "Whatever you think you're good at it, you can do it."

"Then I shall be your eyes proper, master. Just let me know what you want, but no sharp corners as it could be dangerous for you."

Another thump and a small blinky happened before she moves to rub her chin against him. He was her beloved master and even if children never crossed his mind or seeing her as a potential mate, she will still love him just the same.

"I will only search if we need the extra income." Her nose wiggled as he pulls her into a hug, her chest having extra puffs of fur to make her feel extra soft and cuddly. She was all about cuddling and snuggling with him now, after finally getting over her shyness. "I will have to see what type of jobs would be available first for me."

Whenever he hears a thump, he follows the source, so he's facing her direction. "Well, if I'm moving closer to the city someday then you have to get used to crossing the street, going to the groceries and the library, and the loud noises of the cars and if we take the train, the train also. I think you can see what the train looks like on youtube you won't be frighthen."

He can feel what is like soft fur from her ears and hair. It's remarkable that it's just a rabbit that talks to him, but he loves her softness and sweetness, and her snuggles.

"I think we'll be fine. If I'm eligible, I might get checks from the state for my disability." He sighs. He hated it, waiting on the system. "But a part-time job or full-time is what I'm hoping for to pay off my student debts." He sometimes get some personal income from his music videos he posted on his social media and it's from that, where he gets supports from his community and small group of fans to support her.

He welcomes her into his arms. He wraps an arm around her. As she cuddles for him, he reaches for his guitar, so she has to be mindful where she cuddles while he holds the instrument.

"I feel like playing a song. Do you want to listen until we both fall asleep?"

In the modern world, life is hard for Xiao Xingchen. Being the only son of his elderly parents, he is born with limited vision, almost blind, and embarrassingly, he has a stuttering problem when he speaks. He's so embarrassed that people had thought of him as a mute as he learns sign language to communicate with others instead. He grew up, often being teased, and finds academic schoolwork challenging. By the time he reached the age to go to university, with a scholarship, he has a life ahead of him and life got better with his focus in education.

It's only one morning when he's into his first semester, he was crossing the street with a cane in hand, wearing sunglasses. He's on his way to class toward to his university. When he heard a mother is yelling for her child crossing the road. Without thinking, he jumps ahead to push the child away to safety, and the impact of the car sends him wheeling.

The pain lasted for a few seconds, blood pools from his crushed skull, twisted spine, and the following scenes played before him, as he watched outside of his body. He sees his body on the ground as the child reunites with his mother, then the ambulance came to take him away to the hospital, his bleeding body on the stretcher. By the time, he was taken care off in the hospital, he was announced by the doctor that he is dead.

"Wait, what's happening am I truly dead? Well, as long the child is all right. So there's nothing I can do..."

That night, the entrance door to the hospital opens, and he drifted away from his body, which he no longer recognized anymore. He visits his apartment to say goodbye to his parents in the living room, but they were watching a movie, and he realized they couldn't see him.

When he exits his apartment, he looks up. The first thing he sees is the bright light of the moon hanging in the dark starry sky and he realized he can actually see for the first time, as he's no longer blind.

"How beautiful...the moon and light is so bright..." Without even thinking, he finds himself drifting away to the moon, going higher and higher...

He opens his eyes and to his surprise, he's alive and breathing. His body warm, his black hair becomes long and rather tangled. He feels like he's been asleep, well-rested, and he finds him awaken on a luxurious bed. He can smell something sweet and perfume, like flowers and incense in the air. The air is clean.

He finds himself dress in elegant robes of different patterns, but weak and tired. He stays in bed from the exhausted and finds that his body is strange. It's strong and he realized the weakness is from hunger.

When he opens his eyes, he realized he can see perfectly and his room looks like he awaken in a strange bedroom with furniture. He didn't see it yet that he has a pair of rabbit ears on the side of his head. But he realized he can feel them. Wherever he is, he has many questions to ask.

Back in the old days, she was much stronger. People prayed to her more often and begged to have her grant their wishes. Now days, in these modern times... People seem to no longer pray to her, beg for wishes except for a few. It has been dreadful but she had made her home to match how the mortal world was like.

Soon, she couldn't bring herself to care too much for the mortal world and just focused on her own world. Her own home. A city and world full of rabbits to keep her company and to make sure that she was never forgotten or abandoned.

Being immortal, had it's downfalls for sure and Leanne wasn't sure if she enjoyed it.

For Xingchen, he would hear a knock on the door. "Hel-Hel-Hello? Is there anyone in there? Please speak up as I have some modest food." A soft feminine voice speaks. Should he open the door, he would be greeted by a brown haired rabbit pushing a cart full of various foods. She would greet him with a bright smile.

"Welcome to your new home, sir. I bet you have a lot of questions."

Back when he was alive in his first life, he often prays for a lot of things. More wealth and money for himself and his parents, just to get by, pay their bills, and put food on the table. Passing the tests and get a good education, so he doesn't have to be an embarrassment to his family with his disability, get a job and against all odds, get married to a soulmate someday. All of that dream is gone with his death. In his heart, he wishes he could read books, but he turns to audiobooks and braille to study, and he adapted.

"..." He was speechless at first, as he makes some gestures with his hands out of habit, but they don't mean anything as he's waving wildly. Why there's a talking rabbit? Why he has rabbit ears? What's going on??? He lowers his hands. on his side Only because he can fully see her in full color. He recognizes female voices, but she is the first female that he saw visually as he tries to adjust. So seeing her for the first time, he was stunned and suddenly feel shy, as he never seen and chat with a talking rabbit.

"H-hello. I don't mean to intrude but..." He trails off, making use of his vocal cords and being in his new body, his spirit and Qi is foreign, so he slumps on the bed trying to move his arms and legs.

"Where am I...?"

The rabbit only giggles at his reaction. Everytime there was one who was chosen to be reborn as a rabbit always had this type of reaction. She was patient as he went through all the motions until slumping on the bed.

"It has been a while since a rebirth happened. At least one who has been reborn to live here." She giggles out before moving towards him to try and help him get used to his new limbs. "Lumira. The realm and world of the Moon Goddess. Only special souls are reborned to live here."

She waits to let it sink in as she goes to move the cart closer to him. "Why rabbits you might be thinking. Well, it's because she loves them and if you are lucky, you could live with her and be one of her personal rabbits. If you want to know what she looks like, it will be easy, if only because she is pretty famous up here."

It was a small joke but stops and waits to see if he might have any other questions.

He decides to be calm as the rabbit giggles at his reaction and remains seated. Any words trying to form in his throat halted as he tries to collect his thoughts and getting used to his new body and its movements.

"Lumira." He pronounced. "Moon goddess." He did recall he was flying toward the moon and then that's where he passed out, passing through the portal of time and space to reborn as one of her subjects.

"Famous. I would like to meet her." Maybe she's the one who picks him and is responsible for being here.

He's calmer now, "Who are you? Did you bring me food? What are we having? I'm Xiao Xingchen, so nice to meet you." He makes a small bow, wanting to be polite.

The rabbit smiles with a small wag of her tail as it slowly sinks in for him. At least, that it what it seems like.

"Not many can meet her these days. She rarely comes out of her palace, but to perform or ask for errands." A small worried look before perking her ears up. "She is going to perform tonight so there is a chance that you could at least see her."

But then the next slew of questions at which she giggles again. "Rose and yes I did. I wasn't sure what was the best choice so I brought you a bunch of lighter meals. It is nice to meet you, Xinchen." She goes to return the bow.

"Try and enjoy yourself here. There is no need for work or to earn money up here. Our only job is to follow the Moon Goddess' whims or fulfil her needs. Though be prepared to probably be crowded a little, it has been so long since the last person who was reborn."

Taking a deep breath as this is too much for him. He never thought about the afterlife. The first thing he realize that just like the other rabbit, he has a set of rabbit ears and a tail too. He wags rather weakly, but it actually works. He wiggles his ears. His fur is close to dark blue with silver and white swirls.

"I see. I wonder if she brought me here. I'm...I'm from Earth if you happen to know." With a slow nod, "A concert you say? I think if I have something to eat, I can go see her."

He sees the meals so he eats them slowly. When he sees himself in the large mirror by the vanity across the room, he realized he needs to comb his hair and wash off the sleepiness from himself. He remembered little of the crash and perhaps it's for the best, but there's no blood and injury on his body. How strange.

"I...thank you, Rose. For the meal, I mean." He sips his tea to warm up the coldness from the room.

Oh dear, it seems like he still hasn't taken it all in yet. She keeps on smiling as she watches him closely.

"It is a lot to take in. I remember when I first arrived here 300 years ago. She did, otherwise you wouldn't be here. Have you ever prayed to her or sacrificed something greatly for another? Those types usually catches her eye whenever she does look towards Earth."

A firm nod before a happy thump. "Yes! A concert! Just having the chance to see her is great. But yes, eat! You will need your strength for it."

She hangs back as he eats and then washes himself, humming happily to herself.

"You are welcome, just happy to help you get on your feet with your new life here. When you are ready I can show you around a little bit. You don't have to worry about housing or food here. But afterwards we will need to hurry if we want to find a good spot to watch!"

She then ponders a bit. "Actually, we should straight there once you are ready. That way, we can guarantee a place where she can see you."
