It's another hot summer day in the market. Finding work as a mercenary from town to town is difficult, especially when he's a rogue cultivator. He previously belonged in a sect group and left to work solo. The lessons and knowledge he learned from the sect stayed with him. The rogue cultivator is named Mu, which is the alias he goes by as he makes his journeys as a wandering swordsman through the villages and towns aimlessly, practicing and putting his swordsmanship to work.
In these lands, laws were strictly enforced. In some villages, where it's lawlessness everywhere, bandits and slave traders are plentiful, and there's no short end to crime. There are fewer law enforcers in the rural areas in the countryside and there's where Mu usually travels to earn his coins.
He was hired by one of the mayors in the town to take out the slaver traders who were occupying the markets on the streets, breaking the law by selling illegal goods. After a day of chasing them and having them arrested, putting them into the town's jail, Mu received his pay and stayed in the village before moving onto the next town to look for work.
One of the illegal goods he discovered was a wolf in a cage that the slave traders caught from the wild. She was intended to be sold as a pet and a slave. Being sensible, he set her free, fed her, clothe her to help her recover as he stays in the inn in his room and has his nightly drink.
"You don't have to come with me when I’m leaving town." He said as he sips his liquor from a jar. "When you're better, we can part ways. You are meant to be free in the wild."
Darkness, her life was pure darkness. She couldn't really remember what her life was like before the slave traders captured her and tried to "train" her to be more domesticated to make her price increase. The beatings, whips and starvation they caused her was always a constant factor and she was always feeling sick.
She felt like was constantly being moved around and due to her once strength and prowess, she was always forced to pull the carts. She never spoken a word to any of her captors nor to any human that approached her while she was in her cage.
It was on a fated evening that she met Mu while he was investigating the illegal goods. She was dressed in rags that barely covered her modesty. She felt too sick and starved to put up a fight as he freed her and carried her to an inn in order to tend to her. A quick glance would show that she was human, a human with a rather large wolf tail that was matted due to her treatment.
She watches him with golden eyes as he speaks and sips his liquor. She doesn't speak or make a sound as he gives her the choice to stay or part ways. Master... He was a master as he freed her from the cage, clothed her and brought her into a nice place. Now that she was a bit more aware of her surroundings, she did feel a little scared and frightened by everything.
Just how long until his niceness ends and he either whips or beats her like her previous "masters".
Mu took a swing of his liquor from the jar. The drink is strong, crisp, and cool. Drinking this particular spirit always burns at the back of his throat. It was a good night for him. His pouch is full of money, but today is his last day where his contract with his benefactor, the mayor is done, and he has no need to stay in the village far longer than necessary. To him, it's just another job and he'll travel to the next town looking for another.
At first, he said no words. But then looking into her eyes, seeing his reflection in them, seeing her fear, in an effort to read her thoughts.
“Looks like you have no place to go as well." He sighs, tipsy and drunk from the drink. Lowering his jar down. "I don’t have a home. My home is the wind and the stars. If you want to go with me, that’s fine. I think it's all right, I like dogs.”
He reaches out to pet her between the ears and then cradles her face with his large hands, callous from handling swords and bows. A touch of comfort. He isn't accustomed to touching another, having lived a solitary life, and didn't like being touched himself.
“You’re not a dog, are you? Your eyes. They’re that of a wolf. I had seen a lot of wolves in the wild. They're terrifying when they work and hunt as a pack, like a pack of bandits. But more noble in spirit than a bandit.”
That drink he keeps on drinking... It smelled so strong. It only enhances her fear of what he will do to her the more he drank from it. All humans were the same as those slavers in her mind. When she notices that he was looking into her eyes, she goes to glance away, curling her tail to tuck between her legs.
A small whimper and the urge to let out a scream was rising up in her as he not only speaks but also reaches out to pet her. Leanne attempts to lower herself away from his hands, trembling a little as now he could clearly see the marks and bruises on her due to her "training".
She goes to close her eyes as cradles her face with those large hands, not used to the feeling of comfort from a human. Of course she will follow him, that much of the training stuck as he is her new master.
A small shuddering sigh leaves her as he realizes that she was a wolf and not a dog, finally opening her eyes again to look up at him. He was right about everything when it comes to wolves. She could barely remember that she once had a pack, but that was it, just a pack and no details about that pack.
She goes to sigh again as she still doesn't speak. There was no need for her to speak, at least not yet. Instead he will get whines and whimpers from her to use instead of words, her tail still tucked tightly between her legs.
Mu eventually hit his limit to drink when his vision started to blur and felt the heavy call to sleep. He lowered his jar down and set it aside. There is still some drink left to save the rest for another day as he doesn’t make much to buy a second jar.
He continues to pet between her ears and cradles her face with his touch. He has taken great care to wash her, tending to her wounds and bruises, and even bought clothes to put on her for modesty.
Pain, she still in pain. With a sigh, as it’s been a while since he last uses his own spells on someone. “Sit still, I’m going to heal you.”
Mu remembers what he learns from his sect. He sat in front of her, raises his hands, making specific hand transfers, and then there’s a bright blue light from the tips of his fingers to point at her wounds and then the spot between her forehead on her brow.
He sends his lifeforce, to transfers his energy into her mind to calm her. To close up her wounds, physical at first, and then the mental. This warm energy that she is safe and there’s no fear. No master to enslave and oppress her. She is free. Lifting the heaviness from her to relax her.
When he finished his healing spell, “Does that feel better?"
Drunk, her new master was so drunk. The scent of alcohol was rolling off of him. She watches him unblinking as he seals the bottle again and sets it to the side.
His touch, she never really been touch like this before. So sweet and tender and nothing like the other humans. She remembers how he tended to her and gave her clothing. She... She doesn't want those touches to stop despite being so scared of him.
She blinks when he stops and goes to tilt her head as he speaks. Her teeth bares a little as he starts the chanting and the blue light appears.
She jumps a little as the light goes first to her wounds, removing her physical pain. A low growl emits from her throat as he then sends it to her forehead. Her growling slowly stops as he goes to heal her mentally. The abuse and poor treatment that she had to endure for so long was slowly melting away.
Free.... She was free again. Tears to welling up in her eyes as the realization that she is free sinks in. Her tail slowly moves out from between her legs and just softly wags on the floor.
When he is done, Leanne blinks again and finds herself smiling at him. "Yes." She finally goes to speak.
When Mu finished the chanting, the spell took quite a lot out of him. Healing another takes a lot of energy, and he usually cast spells for other uses in his line of work. The heaviness of sleep calls for him. Seeing that she is healed, at least physically helps her feel better and free from pain. If only he can figure out the right medicine for her.
As for mentally…That requires more time. At least, she’s more relaxed and less fearful of him. “We’re going to sleep. As for tomorrow, who knows what that will bring. But those slavers, they’re in jail, so you’re safe here with me. I don’t mind keeping you, but if tomorrow you change your mind, you may go and find home.” He assures her, to repeat that she is really free.
He manages to smiles back, grinning rather dumbly. For some reason, he felt heroic for saving her. She's rather cute for a wolf girl, but Mu has no experience with a female of any kind. After having lived in a sect since he was a child, where most of the disciples are males and learning cultivation almost religiously. “You look better now.”
Drunkenly he stumbles to his bed and lays there like a lump. Suddenly his body feels heavy from the drink. Pulling the blanket over. “I think I’ll sleep here. Too much to drink. You can sleep wherever you like.”
She perks up a little as he finishes the spell and idly moves closer to him in case he needs help getting back to bed. She feels better physically, she wasn't completely well again but she was feeling so much better both physically and mentally.
Now, at least now she feels like she could trust him. Especially since he reassures her of her newfound freedom. The fate of the slavers didn't feel so satisfying but now, now they cannot hurt another like they have her.
When he smiles back, he looked rather cute like that. She follows him and moves to help tuck him into bed. She tilts her head when he mentions that she can sleep anywhere she likes.
Did he really mean that? She idly looks around the room and waits for his eyes to close before slipping on the bed beside him, semi curling up to protect her body but also to enjoy the softness of the bed.
It was dark in the inn room. He did say anywhere and wherever she likes. Mu wasn't picky. Mu was this close to drifting off to sleep when he feels a warm weight joining him, next to him on the bed. A moment of interruption when she joins him on the bed. “What…?”
Mu wasn’t used to sharing a bed with anyone else. He slept alone for the most part of his life. Instead of shooing her away and discipline her like his former master, his teacher had done so back in the sect he was a part of and there are a thousand rules to remember, he decides to say nothing. Out here, he’s free with no rules.
It was a welcoming warmth. It’s something he wasn’t used to. He pulls the blanket over both of them to keep warm through the night.
-----
The next morning, the rooster crows as the sun rose. Mu didn't get up right away as he awakes, feeling the hang-over from the drink last night.
Opening his eyes, "Mn."
Only to wake up to find the wolf girl sharing the bed with him. But he doesn't panic or felt alarmed. He simply stayed in bed, not bothering getting up. He'll wait for the wolf girl to wake up eventually as he stayed in bed.
Leanne thought she had successfully sneaked into bed with him. That is, until she feels the blanket draping over her and she lifts her head to look towards him, with a brief worried look about punishment for daring to sleep on the bed.
But no punishment came and instead after draping the blanket over her, Mu goes back to sleep. She waits a moment before going back to sleep.
-------
This... She cannot remember the last time she slept this long and this heavy. There was a comforting presence on the bed next to her and she didn't want to leave this comfort. She didn't want to go back to the real world yet.
A few long moments after he wakes up, Leanne finally starts stirring awake. Her golden eyes slowly open to find him looking at her and she jumps wide awake, moving at once to get off the bed in case he was like the slavers.
Eventually, Mu awakens from a long dream he cannot recall. Hearing the songs of the songbirds trill in the morning, he slowly opens his eyes to find a warm body of the wolf girl he rescued. Seeing her blonde head and wolf ears poking out of the blanket.
Only to find the warmth missing because she jumped out of the bed with a terrified look. He sees how to frighten she is, more so terrified of him.
Gently, "Leanne, come back to bed with me." He pats gently on the bed. "Come on. I won't hurt you. You're a good girl." He sees how feral she looks, looking into her pained golden eyes. To tame the wolf within her, that is quite a task to earn her trust.
"Remember me? You were hurt. I healed you. It's warm isn't it?" He said, keeping his voice soft and comforting. He healed her physically, but emotionally and mentally that will take time to bond.
Leanne remained on the floor, her tail moving once more to tuck between her legs and her wolf ears laying flat against her head.
He goes to speak so gently to her, the inviting pats. She wanted to go back to the soft bed, it was the softest thing she ever got to touch. She lets out a small whine as she knew that he wasn't like the others but... He was still a human.
Comforting, he was sounding so comforting but all the years of abuse and torture she endured was deeply rooted into her psyche. They had done so many things to her that so many times, she just wanted to hide somewhere and die just so she wouldn't have to go through with the abuse any longer.
A low whine as she keeps on watching him with fear before slowly moving back towards the bed, stopping though completely at it's side, not sure if she was allowed to join him or not.
War.... War was always a horrible and terrible thing, especially for those countries and nations who could not defend themselves. A country of rabbit people, rare and harmless to humans was in the middle of two warring nations. One nation was their ally while the other wanted to destroy everything in their path.
Their allies took a long time to arrive and when they did, almost all of the rabbit nation was destroyed. The war continued on, blood ran and the dead fertilized the spoiled land. But one day, the war was won and the allied nation, lead by the human prince known as Mu, not only won the war but also managed to chase back the intruders and saved the remaining, fragile and almost completely destroyed nation.
There was celebrations among the survivors and reaching out to the surviving leaders, it was planned that they will send their eldest daughter to be their savior's bride. But, they requested that they would never have a face to face meeting and that their wedding would be under the light of the full moon so that the immortal goddess would properly bless their marriage.
There was frantic planning as the full moon was already over and so they only had a month until the next one. They were so busy in fact that they forgotten to have the two meet even for a dinner until....
One week until the wedding, Mu received a letter to invite him to have dinner with his bride to be. In the letter it assured him that he wouldn't see her as she would remain hidden but he could start to enjoy her company.
And so Leanne, the one who is betrothed to Mu, sat waiting behind a screen, covered in large robes and veils to hide her face behind. The only thing that could be seen were her long ears. For Mu, on his side of the screen was a feast made just for him, candles lighting the area. For Leanne, she had a much smaller meal but she would dare not eat it, not until she can her the man she was betrothed to start eating.
It was a terrible situation for her people when the news reached his ears. While he is an outsider, the two warring countries turned deaf to the suffering of the people and they turned the surrounding territories into a battlefield. Within a few months of the conflict, her nation and territory become a target to fall under either empire to be added as additional land.
He heard her cry for help. He had tried diplomacy with his ministers to settle for peace, but he was dismissed. The last resort is to go on defense and came to her land with his army to supply the manpower required to fight back and pushed the enemy back and protect the borders.
While outsiders considered his influence meddlesome, he was advised it wasn't worth saving a small nation from being caught in the crossfire, he had done so anyway because it's the right thing to do and he couldn't let the people suffer. When the war is over and the country is saved, there is now the process of recovery and rebuilding.
At the offer of a bride, he refused. He had never formally met her or seen her face. The family insisted on offering their daughter a hand in marriage as a gesture of gratitude and honor. A matchmaker has been consulted already. Divination has been cast. Parents permissions and blessing has given. The kingdom's high priest have consulted the heavens and have it divinely mandated by the will and blessings from their Goddess. Eventually, it comes down to the weight of each other's honor of their parents and their nations to marry.
His minister advised him that it's not wise to refused and by imperial law, he may take a bride as a consort and concubine if he wishes. Mu, having never been married before, and not wanting to disgrace the family and people, finally relented to the marriage to save face and retain honor.
One week before the arranged wedding, her betrothed stepped in, accompanied by his highest ministers, representing his govern. Both hands cupped together beneath the long sleeves of his robe. He took a seat, and the servants are at their beck and call to bring food and drink. Unable to see his bride waiting behind the screen.
Her ears twitches and perks up and forward as she hears him entering the room, her face burning scarlet in a blush as she couldn't believe that her betrothed is here in this room with her. His voice... He had such a calming and soothing voice. She wanted to see him, see his face, to see the face of her people's hero.
"Thank you... For coming. I pray that the food would meet your liking." She goes to speak shyly, finding herself wanting to flee so he wouldn't be ashamed of his future bride. Her ears move back to a more relaxed position.
"I heard that my prince likes wine. I managed to find some for him, I pray that it will be to his liking along with the meal."
Damnit! Why can't her heart stop beating so fast?!?
"Your ministers, my apologies, I shall have some of my servants bring them a meal as well." No... Has she already messed up? Surely this would make him hate her.
They never formerly met or even seen face to face. All she ever heard of him is the coming and goings of their messages and ministers. His voice is fairly deep and calm, eloquent in giving speeches during diplomatic meetings, carrying himself as a prince as expected to be.
He sat upright, his jade-like face is stoic, but his eyes are expressive and curious to hear a soft female voice speaking to him over the screen. His hands-on his lap, a fan in hand. He is not wearing the armor for war, but the royal robes of a scholar and a prince who is in line and heir to his father's throne.
She does not know anything of him yet, but he spoke with a humbleness. While he is now curious if her beauty matches her voice, he is trying to please his bride to be and be courteous.
"Indeed I do enjoy wine. Your wine of this province is considered to be crisp and delicate to the taste. Do not mind my ministers. This is a meal between you and me. Let us enjoy this day of peace."
Waving a hand, he gestures the servants to start bringing in their meal to commence the evening.
"Do you like music as well? I heard your people enjoy playing music to please the goddess."
The sounds of charms and beads softly hitting each other can be heard just as clearly as her voice as she speaks again. She felt so timid and shy as a part of her still couldn't believed that she was bethrorted to him and they he accepted it.
She smiles at the praise and shifts herself a little to sit a little straighter. "I thank you for your kind words my prince." Her voice was still soft and gentle. She could spend the entire night just listening to his voice. "Even if it is just between us, it would be rude not to offer them some food as well, even if just one dish."
With that, she lifts a hand to softly and quietly clap her hands to summon tables to be brought to the ministers and a small salad for each of them.
"But the wine will be just for you, I picked it out with you in mind."
But now, it was time to eat and she goes to let out a sigh, carefully, picking up chopsticks to eat as quietly as she can. At his question, she smiles and goes to slowly nod her head, the jewels and beads slightly hitting each other with the gesture.
"I do, it can be very soothing to the soul. I can sing and play but I fear that my sisters are far more talented than I." She goes to giggle a little. "Yes, the goddess enjoys our music and so we play to keep her company on the nights that the moon is full and when the moon is gone. When it is halved and quartered as well, we play for her."
A small slow breath escapes her. "Does my prince enjoy music?"
He wondered what his bride looks like under the veil and red dress. But no peeking until the ceremony is over. While he couldn't see the smile, he took her hand to lead to the tables and be seated.
"You picked it out? Surely you troubled yourself." Still, joining with the others to celebrate the banquet.
As he picks up the chopsticks to start his meal with his wine, he turns to smile at her unable to see her face beneath the veil. Music is being played for entertainment to accompany the dancers. Why her people look adorable with their rabbit ears and big eyes?
"I enjoy the music. I would like to hear you play it. I haven't hear you play it yet. I think the moon is going to be full tonight? After this, we should join the others outside in the garden to lit up the lanterns and then send them off with our prayers and wishes."
She was trying to be as quiet as she possibly can be, very little movements and sounds besides the beads in her hair and along her veil. For a female she must hidden under the veil at all times if she is unmated. She blinks as he takes her hand to lead her away to the tables.
"It is nothing for this one to do for her bethrothed."
She goes to watch him start eating the meal she has prepared and picked out for him. She smiles back at him, even if he cannot see it, tilting her head so that her beads rattled and hit each other. It must have been a leap of faith, for him to being willing to become the mate of a rabbit, not know what she looked like.
"It would be this one's honor to play for you once they are done with their dance." Iyaaan, he has such a nice voice. Hers probably sounds horrible to him, especially compared to his own.
He slowly eats his meal and washes it down with a refreshing drink with a certain grace. He laughs softly, hearing her voice. Her voice has a sweet, musical tone and he wonders what she sounds like if she sings too.
"Sounds good. Whenever you're ready, let's hear you play." He is curious about what his wife's face looks like beneath the veil, but he is patient, wanting to see how she represents herself with her talent after the dancers finished their show in honor of their union.
The sound of his laughter causes her to smile from under the veil. Her fiancé had such a kind and gentle face. At his request, she nods her head, offering him a small bow, beads hitting each other with the movement.
"This one shall play for you, once the dancers are done. This one shall pray that her betrothed shall favor her playing."
And with that, she moves to eat a few more bites quietly. She goes to look over to him and his ministers, checking and making sure that their plates and cups were still full of food and wine. Not only does she need to make a good impression on Mu, but also his minsiters so she can gain their approval.
Once the dance was done and over with, she summoned her servants, whispering in their ears to bring out her instrument so she can play for him.... Her future husband.
"You are favored." He volunteered to defend her kingdom and heard her plea for help when the others ignored her and dismissed her, and some sneered at her people for being weak and become forgotten, a small kingdom. He cannot simply let her people be killed. He prayed to the gods for justice and strength to save one kingdom, a steady hand on his sword and the reign on his horse, and the rest is simply skilled planning and strength. His ministers did not disagree in saving this kingdom as they see an opportunity to gain loyalty and save what's left of their people.
It's a joyous night, a celebration after the funeral of the lives lost. He finds her people very beautiful and charming (and like their future queen, cute even) he can easily see himself as their ruler, caring for their lives, once her kingdom joins with his territory and becomes one nation.
Mu and his ministers sat there, enjoying the festivities and entertainment, but once they bring her instrument out, all fell hushed and the entire room becomes quiet to listen to her play.
"Hush! Let's listen." "Her highness is playing."
The crowd of the party and court gather around in a circle, and all stop, not even drinking or eating the moment their princess and now Queen starts playing.
She smiles brightly even if the veil hides her face from him. She was favored! She was favored by him!
With her string instrument now before her, she goes to take a slow breath, a small and silent prayer is offered before she goes to start playing. Once she started to play, the crowd seems to fade away and all that is left if her music and the moon.
She found herself singing to whatever the melody of the strings was playing, finding herself getting lost in the music.
It was an idea he thought about for a long time. He had long waited patiently, even if it takes months, years, and from his point of view, centuries to show this place to his soulmate. He waited until evening and then he carried her off through the clouds to the heavens up to his celestial palace in the skies. There, his palace remained unchanged among the space and time among the river of stars for thousands of years.
He appeared to her dressed in his finest robes in oriental fashion. A circlet around his head is made of crystals that carry the soft, glowing light of the moon and stars themselves, his fox ears and his fox tails fanned out with an ethereal glow, carrying an aura of his true self as an immortal noble and divinity.
"Remember this dream I told you about? This is my dream, my temple, and my home." He couldn't tell her that in reality, he is actually a thousand-year-old fox god serving the Emperor of Heaven, an immortal official and that he loves her for centuries even if she's a mortal. He was known by the other gods to be so stubborn and recluse, living a hermit lifestyle that he had never loved another.
Tonight is peaceful and he reserved the following weeks to make it special for her. He used his magic to release her from her duties and workload, halting time, manipulating the people she was close to but he found annoying to send them away, so he could make this vacation solely for her. To him, it was meant to honor her as an anniversary, but by his omission, he didn't say anything about it. It was meant to be a surprise.
He smiles softly and he is in a serene, peaceful mood, keeping the truth of his adoration in his heart as he guides her to the garden under the full moon shining a light on his realm. There are gazebos and bridges over ponds and lakes with different koi swimming in schools, and lotus and matters of flowers growing everywhere.
Lifetimes ago he watched her die and they both suffered, and at times, he couldn't intervene to stop the pain, and after the last one, he had lost her and couldn't find her soul across the river of centuries. This time, he found her, and this time, she belonged to him, and at this moment of their time, he wanted to bring her to his special place just to make up for it. To make their love lasting, enduring, and forever.
"This is all a part of my design, my realm, and I wanted to share this with you. I waited many of your lifetimes to bring you here. I hope you're hungry because I plan to cook a banquet just for us." And this time, he'll proudly do it himself without the help of servants like he used to employ thousands of years ago.
He plucked a lotus flower from a lily pad floating on still waters. He waves his hand using his magic to make the flower open and bloom so that his light makes the flower glow and he hands it over to her.
"For you." He said. The light from the flower floats around her in a circle, dispersed, and lands on her hair to make it glow softly.
She was a simple girl, one who didn't believe herself to be special, but yet somehow, she caught the attention of a very special man. One who captures her attention with his every move. They courted and got to know each other before his plan went into action.
To say she was surprised was quite the understatement. His circlet it was beautiful to look at and she wanted to touch it, yet was also afraid to touch it. To see him like this, in his full beauty and glory and yet, that soft smile and gentleness that just radiated off of him.
A blush started to form across her cheeks at not only the beauty of this realm but also his words. "You waited lifetimes for me?" That somehow made her cheeks blush even moreso. "It's... Beautiful, I am honored that you wanted to bring me here." At the mentioning of a banquet, her stomach goes to let out a small growl. "Ah, I am a little hungry."
Please kill her before she does something else embarressing in front of him! Her thoughts stopped as he plucks a lotus flower and uses his magic to cause it to light up before giving it to her. Beautiful, everything about him was so beautiful, even his magic looks nearly as beautiful as him.
"Thank you... My love." She whispers before leaning up to give him a kiss on the cheek, feeling blessed. Truly, she was lucky to be chosen by him to be her lover. "What have I done to be picked by you? My heart is so full of love for you."

When he finished his healing spell, “Does that feel better?"
no subject
"Yes." She finally goes to speak.
no subject
Except there’s only one bed to share.
no subject
Now, at least now she feels like she could trust him. Especially since he reassures her of her newfound freedom. The fate of the slavers didn't feel so satisfying but now, now they cannot hurt another like they have her.
When he smiles back, he looked rather cute like that. She follows him and moves to help tuck him into bed. She tilts her head when he mentions that she can sleep anywhere she likes.
Did he really mean that? She idly looks around the room and waits for his eyes to close before slipping on the bed beside him, semi curling up to protect her body but also to enjoy the softness of the bed.
no subject
He'll wait for the wolf girl to wake up eventually as he stayed in bed.
no subject
But no punishment came and instead after draping the blanket over her, Mu goes back to sleep. She waits a moment before going back to sleep.
-------
This... She cannot remember the last time she slept this long and this heavy. There was a comforting presence on the bed next to her and she didn't want to leave this comfort. She didn't want to go back to the real world yet.
A few long moments after he wakes up, Leanne finally starts stirring awake. Her golden eyes slowly open to find him looking at her and she jumps wide awake, moving at once to get off the bed in case he was like the slavers.
no subject
Only to find the warmth missing because she jumped out of the bed with a terrified look. He sees how to frighten she is, more so terrified of him.
Gently, "Leanne, come back to bed with me." He pats gently on the bed. "Come on. I won't hurt you. You're a good girl." He sees how feral she looks, looking into her pained golden eyes. To tame the wolf within her, that is quite a task to earn her trust.
"Remember me? You were hurt. I healed you. It's warm isn't it?" He said, keeping his voice soft and comforting. He healed her physically, but emotionally and mentally that will take time to bond.
no subject

The Moon Bun Bun and the Human Prince

"Princess, I am here." He announces.
no subject
"Thank you... For coming. I pray that the food would meet your liking." She goes to speak shyly, finding herself wanting to flee so he wouldn't be ashamed of his future bride. Her ears move back to a more relaxed position.
"I heard that my prince likes wine. I managed to find some for him, I pray that it will be to his liking along with the meal."
Damnit! Why can't her heart stop beating so fast?!?
"Your ministers, my apologies, I shall have some of my servants bring them a meal as well." No... Has she already messed up? Surely this would make him hate her.
no subject
I heard your people enjoy playing music to please the goddess."
no subject
"Does my prince enjoy music?"
no subject
"You picked it out? Surely you troubled yourself." Still, joining with the others to celebrate the banquet.
As he picks up the chopsticks to start his meal with his wine, he turns to smile at her unable to see her face beneath the veil. Music is being played for entertainment to accompany the dancers. Why her people look adorable with their rabbit ears and big eyes?
"I enjoy the music. I would like to hear you play it. I haven't hear you play it yet. I think the moon is going to be full tonight? After this, we should join the others outside in the garden to lit up the lanterns and then send them off with our prayers and wishes."
no subject
"It is nothing for this one to do for her bethrothed."
She goes to watch him start eating the meal she has prepared and picked out for him. She smiles back at him, even if he cannot see it, tilting her head so that her beads rattled and hit each other. It must have been a leap of faith, for him to being willing to become the mate of a rabbit, not know what she looked like.
"It would be this one's honor to play for you once they are done with their dance." Iyaaan, he has such a nice voice. Hers probably sounds horrible to him, especially compared to his own.
"I would like that, my beloved betrothed."
no subject
"Sounds good. Whenever you're ready, let's hear you play." He is curious about what his wife's face looks like beneath the veil, but he is patient, wanting to see how she represents herself with her talent after the dancers finished their show in honor of their union.
no subject
"This one shall play for you, once the dancers are done. This one shall pray that her betrothed shall favor her playing."
And with that, she moves to eat a few more bites quietly. She goes to look over to him and his ministers, checking and making sure that their plates and cups were still full of food and wine. Not only does she need to make a good impression on Mu, but also his minsiters so she can gain their approval.
Once the dance was done and over with, she summoned her servants, whispering in their ears to bring out her instrument so she can play for him.... Her future husband.

"Hush! Let's listen."
"Her highness is playing."
The crowd of the party and court gather around in a circle, and all stop, not even drinking or eating the moment their princess and now Queen starts playing.
no subject
With her string instrument now before her, she goes to take a slow breath, a small and silent prayer is offered before she goes to start playing. Once she started to play, the crowd seems to fade away and all that is left if her music and the moon.
She found herself singing to whatever the melody of the strings was playing, finding herself getting lost in the music.

celestial Fox god AU
Re: celestial Fox god AU
