PSL/AU The Willow's Maid
[ooc; Based on the ideas here.]
A:
A more fantasy setting.
There is a village out in the plains of Ireland almost completely surrounded by a forest which made it hard for caravans to pass through. The villagers are almost all happy, mysterious lot, skilled in many professions. Ask around and the villagers will tell you that they are protected by the forest which in turn is taken care of by the fae of the forest. However, they advised against seeking out the fae for fear of what could happen if they are found.
One mysterious thing about the forest is like clockwork, singing can be heard from it 4 times a day: Morning, Mid-Morning, Evening and then Bedtime.
B:
Modern Setting.
It is much like the fantasy setting except for a few things. There are 2 roads to enter and leave the village. There are some modern technology scattered throughout and the forest isn't nearly as big as it used to be. The only thing that hasn't been updated is all their wood cutting tools. The villagers if asked this time around is that you can see a real life fae in the forest, they will just ask that you don't bring your phones or cameras into the forest in order to protect the faes within.

Characters
Leanne
A month flew by and finally the shaman came up with an answer to the village troubles, a willow sapling. He gave the strict instruction to plant it near where the out line of the village and to make sure nothing happens until it is grown, before leaving the village with those final instructions.
A few years of more troubles and worries as they tended to the willow and still plagued by their troubles before noticing a small baby attached to the willow tree. At first they wondered about where the baby came from before noticing a ring of red toadstools and know then what the baby was. After the birth of the baby, they slowly noticed that the crops were doing better as well as less attacks from wild beasts.
Months turned int years as the baby grew and the more it grew, the more a forest started to grow around the village and their troubles were over. The nymph, who they named Leanne, soon grew into a fully grown adult woman and became the care taker of both the village and forest, making sure that the children were never lost, bandits and intruders were quickly dispatched, and all the crops grew bountiful for all to have full bellies.
Leanne was a little lonely and would often flirt a little with anyone who came to visit her to pass the time. She would quickly reject any potential suitors once things were becoming too serious between them. The animals within her forest were peaceful and wouldn't harm a soul. She was the forest and the forest was her.
She became the sole lifeblood of both the village and the forest surrounding it.
