- Leanne is the reincarnation of Mu's bride but was born as a human. She is the youngest of a large family.

- Her family are alpaca farmers and are very poor. So poor that they really afford shoes.

- Leanne has a favorite alpaca and would take it everywhere she goes.

- She has no memories of her previous life or any of her duties thereof.

- How big is Leanne's family? And how many children/siblings are there in the household? Usually children work besides parents on the fields to lend a hand, and families can get very big in a small house

- If Leanne has older brothers, they are paid more attention by her parents because they can take the imperial exam to have a civil job from the government and if they pass, or one of them pass, it brings honor to the family and change their social status (formal education can cost savings and money to pass exam)

- Girls don't have access to proper education and it's rare they're literate, so they usually work out in the field or do household and been taught young to get married to help parents

- It's traditional that parents arranged the marriage, and the children don't get to decide their mates (that's what matchmakers are for). Marriage customs is both social (marry into family to inherit Guy's family name and property) and political. You can think of an NPC guy (maybe a neighbor or an official's son) that Leanne's parents arranged their marriage to (until a God decides to annulled it)

- Filfal piety, honor parents and elders, meaning caring for them until they grow old

- Honor on your ancestors, honor your parents, honor on your apalacas, honor, HONOR (no wonder Mulan ran away :|)

- If we go with her canon family size before they were all murdered, Leanne is the youngest of 8 kids. So a total of 10. But I will be happy to do 6: 4 kids + Mom and Dad.

- If with the smaller size, one of her older brothers, Reyson is currently trying to take the imperial exam and Rafiel, he disappeared one day while heading off to sell some wool so the family will be extra clingy to Reyson. No one knows where he is or what happened to him.

- Leanne's fiance is Oliver, a corrupted Mayor of the town that Leanne often goes into to sell her alpaca wool. She doesn't like it but will go along with it. Even with a certain god moving in to annul the engagement, he will do what he can to keep her as a potential bride. Every time she goes into town to sell wool or alpaca products, he will come and harass her and her alpaca, and in general chase away potential customers so she would be forced to marry him.

- SHE WILL BRING IN ALL THE HONOR! SHE WILL!

- Mu is a dragon guardian. He can shapeshift between human or dragon. He's celestial and has a palace on the mountain that is a gateway to the Heavens where the Jade Emperor and his armies and celestials resident lives, accessible by a stairs within his palace

- The dragon is a Chinese type

- He was fairly young by a few centuries old, and he has temples that govern specific a province, therefore his palace home is his celestial office

- When dragons are born they started as koi (need to look into this?)

- Dragons can be found by water and rivers or bodies of water

- Mu can control water and rivers, and also control weather, so flooding and rainy season is the greatest threat

- Since it's Ancient China period, the main religion is Buddhism, Taoism, Animism, with typical legends and myths but there is magic involved

- There are demons and Celestials

Religion/Holiday, just writing down notes from the top of my head

- Ancestor worship is important and usually it's a remembrance of those who passed (remembering grandma, grandpa, forefathers), and food and sacrifices (burning paper represent money/coins to send to Heaven) is usually left for them (In Disney's Mulan, it's actually seen her family spirits as tombstones near the family estate)

- Important holiday is the Lunar Festival (Moon cakes!) and Chinese New Year, and each year, there's street parades of people beating drums, doing acrobats, firecrackers, and the Dragon / Lion dance. Usually everyone will take a week or two weeks off to cook and eat a lot, and the elders put money in a red envelop to give to kids

- People visit the temples of deities to ask for favor or help and leave food and offering and incenses and candles, and in some temples, there's a fortune telling sticks with a number and a fortune paper to match the number, and basically whatever is on the paper, that's the deity's verdict/answer to the situation. It's believe the higher your sacrifice (how many food you left and how many paper money/coins) you burn, it's because the situation is very desperate!

- By paper money/coins, I'm referring to Joss Paper. In modern day, people make joss paper of houses, cellphones, suits, cars, but their purpose is to burn them for the dead. Not necessary for funeral rites, but to gain favors.

Mythology

Just pointing out differences of Mu in each PSL thread and some definition and words that I used in the tags:

- In the Emperor thread, he's a human with no powers, but he specialized in politics and diplomacy as well as controlling his father's military since as a prince he is born and bred for the purpose of leading a nation and to be a (reluctant) king to keep the peace.

- In the fox thread, Mu is centuries old (haven't determine the age yet). He was born as a prince, but then upon discovery of his identity, he was banished and exiled. After some time, after his fox mother died, he and his siblings entered a Daoist sect. Daoist is a major religion and the source of all the mysticism and supernatural behind the magic, sorcery, and etc.

In this sect, he studied to be a Cultivator or the art of Cultivation. Basically, in this sect, as a Cultivator, it's a school to learn chi, Buddhist sutras, spiritual energy, martial arts, meridians, chakra, acupuncture, alchemy, herb medicines, and Core Formation (source of spiritual energy in the abdomen), sorcery includes writing talismans, paper dolls, and amulets.

- In the Emperor thread, it's assumed Leanne's clan studied the same thing or something similar in that school of thought

- A fairly feudal era where wars between kingdoms are plenty and fights break out, the Great Wall was already built to keep Huns out, so political tension between states

- Invasions between states and barbarians broke out frequently, so it's difficult to secure peace between the borders

- Leanne seek one of Mu's temples for protection

I just thought of something... I would really like for a cute intimate scene. At least one time with ear cleaning, just in a pampering way. Leanne doing it for Mu.

For the Deity!thread. Considering Mu has to "cancel" Oliver's engagement, he has several steps to do do.

- Gain approval from his parents to accept Leanne as the bride, and this involves for his mother to look at the calendar and divination for a good date and season to marry

- Gain Leanne's parent's approval since they probably paid for dowry months prior where they agreed for Oliver. Dowry as in "agreement" of exchanging property and that Leanne is Oliver's property and wife. During this time, Mu has to return her home for this reason

- Mu will do this by simply pay a much bigger dowry (as an apology for kidnapping and eloping with their daughter) including giving them a house and deed to land and animals to prove he's richer than Oliver. By proving his wealth, afterward, this simply proves Leanne is in better hands.

- Then a ceremony where she goes home with the husband and that includes dressing up in a bridal veil and being carried off by a bridal sedan chair carriage

- Hopefully, all of this, and Oliver will reach the conclusion that a rich, wealthy man sweep her away...

Another idea for PSL

If this is an interest! Pretty much from what I gathered from watching a lot of Wu Xia movies. Plot points, just writing them down so I remember:

- Close to historically accurate, but some supernatural elements. Pretty much similar to a companion to Royalty AU that I seen on bakerstreet

- The scene start with Prince Mu was out hunting with his party and found an injured heron caught in a trap? (or magical fox?) Brought her back to the Imperial Palace to keep as a pet/concubine, but hide it from his father the Emperor and court of the Imperial palace (since people can be super nosey)

- Leanne can be royalty with Rafiel and Reyson as NPCs? Marry for protection of the Kingdom of Serenes? Parents can be alive if you wish. Or no brand commoner heron lol whose sole purpose is to be Prince concubine to produce heirs?

- Crazy Asian parent trope dramatic Emperor slap, Prince Mu doesn't get along with his father, his father began to mobilize for war since it's a feudal state, lots of political tension

Ooooo~! I like it! Leanne can be either or and how about he doesn't know that she is magical as she appeared to be the animal until night has fallen and that is when she appeared as a woman to him.

- I can definitely play as all 4 for you and yes, they can royalty! Just to add the extra spice of tension to the mix.

- That is the world's most dramantic slap. XD

Funny enough, they are called Fox Spirit or Fox Demons. I seen for instance they are called demons for their magical nature. Perhaps they are generally believed to be demons? Maybe that's why they are hunted? /ponders

Mu's calligraphy scribbles

For Wake-verse. They are in his notebook and journal that he carries around and writes in the Serene forest where he practice his calligraphy. Pretty much him playing around with Leanne's name phonetically and draw characters based on it.

力 (Li): "Strength"

柳 (Liu:) "Willow"

柳暗花明 (liu an hua ming): "The willow trees make the shade, the flowers give the light", a phrase meaning at one's darkest hour, a glimmer of hope; light at the end of the tunnel

莲 (Lian): "Lotus"

莲花 (Lian Hua): "Lotus flower"

李 (Li): Plum, plum tree, for the Le in her name

安 (An): "Tranquility", "Peace" For the Anne in her name.

蕾 (lei): Bud, Lei-lei (雷蕾) is his nickname for her, but didn't call her that, because he's ridiculous, but it's also mean a garland or wreath of flowers in Hawaii tradition

- Can't figure out what happens to Leanne's family but they probably won't move and fox deity Mu has to stay on the land with them like a guardian deity because Oliver will come a harassing for nonsense

- Prince Mu still on the war thread, but where we left off, they should have make up or have a fight or quarrel and arguing and Mu will never win against a pregnant fox

- I can easily see that. They are dort poor so every piece of property they have is precious. Lranne would try to encourage him to visit his home so he isnt stuck with her family.

- Oho! Yeah, that would be fun to play out and her being all huffy with him when he is trying to make up with her. Fox wife will always win.

PSoH:

-For the fox one, we can always do a visit to the farm and him dealing with the farm animals. If you like drama one thing we could do is have her ex be a reincarnation of the man who killed her because she was in love with Mu instead of him.

Idk what to ask, but a mood is a mood. But rough idea, I was thinking a pet person AU with Leanne as his rabbit.

While I have no specific plot, I was thinking he's a leader of a warring clan or a prince, and she was given to him as a gift of peace. She has white fur and downy ears, hops around, and he likes to dress her up. Thinking like the outfits in that mobile game you were playing a while back. You can make her a magical creature like a fae/fairy if you want.
