It was early morning and already it's summer and it's a humid type of morning. He's going to have to eventually install an AC unit in his house to keep cool. In the meantime, he has a surprise for her that he thinks she's going to enjoy. He managed to get her number and so, he called her in advance saying that he's coming to see her after breakfast.
Knock, knock. He's knocking on her front door. "Leanne? You're home?" And Leanne will see that familiar guy that is her neighbor at her window, waiting at the front door.
It was far too early for anyone to come over. Still learning how to use things like telephones she lets out a yawn when he called her. Does he ever sleep? Saga always seems to be up late and now gets up early as well.
After making herself presentable and having a few fruit on the table while tea was being brew. She was about to sit down and eat when she heard the door knock. Slowly she moves over to the door after seeing it was Saga at the window.
"Coming!" She slowly opens it and then looks up at him, fidgeting with a lock of hair. "What... Brings you here so early, Saga?"
Saga works on and off, improving his gardening skills growing on his land, but everyday is exciting and he discovers something new everyday. He will wake up early in the morning and spends the evening organizing everything else on his land.
Farming isn’t his thing, but once he gotten the hang of it, he started improving his gardening skills as opposed to care of livestock. It was hard work but he found it rewarding.
“Good morning Leanne. I saw this creature wandering around in my garden yesterday and then it flew to your garden for your flowerbed and took a nap there. A local told me it’s a Pokemon and they tend to be pets and companions to humans they like. I think this animal likes you because she leaves my house to your flowers all the time.”
He took out a pokeball and pressed the button so the ball becomes full sized and the pokemon came out and released in a flash of light. The pokemon makes a soft cry of “Cutiefly!” And hovers in the air.
“I think that is her name. It’s all she said.” Saga said. “I found some other types of pokemon too since they make a home in my garden and make themselves comfortable.”
"Good... Good morning." She blinks as he begins to explain why he was here and then.... Her wings poofed as the Pokemon suddenly appears. She goes to blush even more before letting out a small squeal. "It's so cute, Saga!"
She holds out her hand towards the pokemon, smiling brightly, waiting to see if it will fly to her.
"Or maybe she just like the type of flowers I have. I can share some of its seeds with you so she can be happy with you." She was giggling now. "You have already found more types? I wonder how long they have been here?"
He had been working on his farm for over a month now. He has been getting the hang of it. From growing the crops to tending the plants. He learns to sense their unique cosmos and energy, and tuning into their thoughts. He always thought of Pisces Aphrodite being an odd saint, having a unique gift of hearing the voices fo plants, but it turns out if he can concentrate his thoughts on them, the plants will tell him how big they are growing beneath the soil and when they are ready to be a harvest. It was strange, but then again Saints are taught that all living things have cosmos and energy down to their atoms, and that's what his friend and fellow Saint would have told him if Saga asked him how to speak to plants. Saga learns he has a knack for botany and horticulture.
It was mid-August when he noticed his friend and neighbor, the Heron Girl, Leanne is starting to act strangely and out of character. It was when she didn't take his gifts and she didn't want to eat his meals and share meals with him. He left a text message, but she didn't answer him without giving him a reason. That hurt quite a lot, but perhaps there's a reason even though none is given.
He thought of it as a rejection and refusal as she didn't want to be his friends anymore, so he didn't press it... even though he was interested, but then again he had to think second thoughts that perhaps he shouldn't see her that way and only as a potential. Back at home, he didn't have much luck with girls due to his rank as a Gold Saint. Girls at home, especially the girls who are trained to be saints with a mind of a soldier are quick to reject a male saint, and if a guy won't take her refusal, that's like asking her for a fight to the death. So he figured she needed space and wasn't interested in him at all. While it felt sudden to him, but as the week passed, he tells himself to simply forget her, that it's a big mistake, and give farming a try until the end of the year...at least that was his plan.
The real warning sign of what went wrong is that he no longer see her tending to her garden in the morning like she used to. The same goes for afternoon and evening. She simply isn't around singing and smiling while tending to her strawberries. It was an odd and sad sight to see a land filled with fruits and flora without her around... The strawberries that she loves to eat were left untouched. When curiosity got the best of him, he came closer to inspect the strawberries on her land, most of them withered away drying up from the hot merciless sun. When he tried to tap into the thoughts of the strawberries' cosmos, they were crying out for water and many of them are dying.
He has to do something. Say something. He didn't want to press it because he thought she rejected him and didn't want him around, so she pushed him away. He is a gentle man, but as a gold saint, he wasn't well-known for his gentleness and kindness. A part of him is frustration and that frustration demanded answers.
Still, his patience demands gentleness. So taking a deep breath, he knocked on her door.
"Leanne?"
A part of him is worried. Some people, who gave up farming, abandoned their land. He wondered if this is the case? Did Leanne and abandoned her farm and went back home? Perhaps that's accounted for the silence.
He looked up at the sky, and while it's hot and humid, the sky is turning grey and dark even in the morning. A storm is brewing. He saw the news of the weatherman on the t.v channel earlier that morning and the weatherman predicted it will be a storm with lightning and thunder too.
When there's no answer. He knocked again on that door, slightly harder this time, and this time, he made an effort to try to sense her cosmos and reaching out with his own, raising his energy, a golden aura, to gently tap at hers.
Everything was happy and beautiful. Her precious farm was thriving despite the chaotic state it was in. Her precious flora and fruits were flourishing under her care. She didn't pay attention to the dates, she had no reason to. Almost everyday she would farm, have nature help prep her shipments and then ekther have lunch or dinner with Saga....
.... It hit her so suddenly and quickly. The soul crushing pain and sadness. At first she tried to hide it, tried to tend to her flowers with her cutiefly and Rowlett at her side. But soon, within hours... Overwhelming depression hits and she couldn't bring herself to care anymore.
At first, she just his in the trees, ignoring all and even when Saga came over for his usual visits. It made her feel worse to see what her absence was doing to him.
She didnt eat and if she did, it was very little. It was hard just to leave her bed and days flew by when she was there. Her hair and wings easily losing their shine, turning dull.
It was the same day that when Saga's visit happened that she forced herself out of her house, locking the door behind her and just... Go to the highest and tallest tree she could find and stay there. Her eyes not really seeing and her ears not hearing.
She blinks a little when she felt the Saint's Cosmos and both of her Pokemon quickly flies over to him, calling and moving in frantic mannerisms. Please help their master! They can't seem to snap her out of it!
Saga knocked again, and there's no answer. Is the house empty? Has she left and abandoned everything? His gut feeling that tells him that this is unlike her. All of those strawberries and flowers left unattended...
It was until her pokemon came to him and talk to him, nudging him in the other direction. With a blink, they were frantically calling to him. The rowlett kept hooting and the cutiefly kept buzzing. Of course, he has his own pokemon with him, so he's learning and get used to reading to their physical cues and language during the everyday activities they live together.
"Huh, so she's not home? All right. Just lead the way and I'll go talk to her." So she is still here in the valley and she hasn't left yet. If her pokemon lead the way to her, he will follow them.
The Rowlett gives him an salute and takes to the flying in the direction of the forest. He landed every once and a while to give Saga time to catch up, hooting and then flying off again.
Eventually they came upon a very old and tall tree to which the tiny owl Pokemon lands on the ground and points upwards. Leanne was somewhere up there within the branches. He was trying to relay to Saga.
The Heron indeed was high up in the thick branches, her eyes closed as her cheeks and face was swollen and tear stained. Her skin was dull and lips were cracked a little due to not taking care of herself.
It was late afternoon when Saga already sent the last of his shipment, and it's the end of summer. He cut whatever is left of his (dead) summer crops and weeds, clearing the field to get ready for fall crops. Recently he purchased a greenhouse too, which is under construction as the constructive guys usually came in the morning and left in the noon, and hopefully, his greenhouse will be done by mid-fall. The glassed building is half-way done with the basic structure erected.
He visits Leanne and when he greets her, he came with a batch of sunflowers. He hasn't talked to her for a while due to being busy during the week, so he's simply checking her in.
"Hello, Leanne. How is your week? Here, these are for you. They're the last batch. I must apologize they withered quite a bit, but I would like you to have it."
Leanne was busy out in her fields, trimming the old and getting the last bit of harvesting done with a sigh. She didn't want to let go of her crops as she still felt guilty over letting some of them die, even though she was able to revive them. She was still in mourning that she had almost lost track of times.
That is until Saga came over, holding a batch of sunflowers. It was true that she hasn't seen him really as he only came to check on her every once and a while. She still was only eating on and off but goes to offer him a smile.
"The same as last week, Saga. I am just trying to get the last of my harvest done and at least prepare the fields for whatever I may be blessed with this coming season."
He always comes over with a gift or food. She couldn't help but to chuckle as she accepts the sunflowers.
"Thank you, Saga. Would you like to come in? I have a new type of tea brewing in the cold box and I can find a vase for these."
Saga knew she was in mourning so he gave her space to grieve and only come when she asked for company, trying his best to respect her as she needs to pay respects to her ancestors and her clan.
Though at the end of the week, he tends to worry about her and visit her to see if she's doing all right.
"Ah, that's good. I read in the handbook where it advised to clear the fields before the next season starts. Autumn is around the corner, but I haven't grown any fall crops yet."
With a nod. "Sure, what kind of new tea you have found? I wouldn't mind trying something new that you brew."
She was grateful for the space he was giving her. She doesn't want anyone to see her in that state. She can't appear to look so weak.
Leanne continues to smile up at Saga and tilts her head. "Really? I haven't even check to see what crops are to be expected to grow. I usually just wait for seeds or to what nature will give me." AKA, she really doesn't do seed shopping.
"I decided to use more nuts with this blend and a different fruit." She explains as she opens the door to her house. "I hope you will like it as much as the other tea."
It was late afternoon, almost time for their afternoon tea where they often chat after work on their gardens...when there's a knock on her front door. When Leanne opened it, Saga was standing there, holding a white box (containing a strawberry and blueberry tart cake) and a bouquet of curious looking pink flowers.
"I...I brought you something. It's cake and flowers. I thought it would be good to eat with your tea." He said, and when he offered his gift shyly, as he wasn't sure how she will react and receive in his gift. "And these flowers, they are called orchids. I found them when I was out exploring in the desert. They grow there and I thought you might like them."
Leanne was still feeling the depression and was still in mourning. It is hard to let go of it, especially when you were the lone survivor of such an event. She was resting inside her home when she heard the knock. Honestly, she is no longer surprised at who it could be as there is only one person who visits her everyday and at particular times, no matter what the weather was.
Emerald eyes blink at the sight of not only the cake but also the flowers. "What?... They are beautiful, Saga. Thank you." Still not back at her normal happy self but at least, she can make an effort to look that way for him. "Desert? There is a desert here?"
"Yes, there's a desert at the border of this valley. There's a new bus line that takes visitors there. It's very, very hot there and the sand spread over the land as vast as the sea."
He isn't kidding considering he looks very tanned and red as he is quite sunburned. "I was there to look for a rare mineral to make a sword, but I couldn't find it. But I did find these flowers...they are orchids." The flower is very pink with symmetrical round petals. "In my world, humans usually give flowers away as gifts. I figured you would like them, as you grow flowers in your garden, but not this type."
"Bus line?" She is pondering. "Oh, the metal Beorc device."
And she is noticing just how tanned and sunburned he is. "They are beautiful, Saga." She blinks at his use of humans... Oh right, from his kind it is okay for him to say it. She goes to use her wings to fly up and give him a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for the flowers. I will be sure to grow the in my garden."
And okay! She moves to put them in a vase before fetching a cloth which has been soaked in cold water, offering it to him with a concerned expression in her eyes.
It seems almost a week since their last date, but the carnival event was over and most of the people left, and the town resumed their quite routine as before. It was early morning, and while it's fall, with the autumn leaves fell to the ground, and the song-birds are out singing their morning greeting song. Nothing unusual is happening other than the schedule weekly shipments...
Until her rowlet came fluttering into her window while she was working in the kitchen. There's a blue ribbon with a fancy parchment note tied to his feet, and the little owl hooted to get her attention. When she discovered the note and unraveled, it was from Saga:
"Dear Leanne, Do you remember that lake that we went to last week where the cranes and swans were swimming? Can you meet me there for lunch today?"
It seems like their afternoon lunches and tea will be held for a picnic later that day where he will be waiting for her. Saga couldn't pick a better day as the sky is clear with the sun is out.
Weeks flew by since the carnival and Leanne could still remember that night quite clearly. The owl doll was placed on her bed next to herself so she could wake up and sleep with it.
She was in her kitchen, preparing batches of tea to sell when her rowlet comes in to greet her. "Rafiel? What is it?" She inquires before noticing the fancy parchment note tied to his feet and blushes. Only one person she knows who would use such fancy paper.
Her blush deepens as she can only pick up a few words but it was enough to get the gist. That special place.... He wanted to meet her there.
It was hard to concentrate on her chores after seeing the letter. All she could think about was him and what he could want to do at that special place. She almost lost track of time and when she realized that it was almost lunch time, she quickly hurried out of her farmhouse in order to shift and fly to the lake, praying that she wasn't too late.
He was nervous, pacing back and forth along the coast of the lake. Yet, he was calm with the sight of the swans and cranes swimming and flocking together as a group and they remind him of his mission and purpose for today.
She arrived not too late. He was waiting for her. When she flew and landed close by to him as he was waiting by the lake...and there's a table for two being set up with lunch being prepared. He gave her a wave so she can see him when she landed.
"Welcome, Leanne, you're here. Did you get my note? Your owl is a smart bird. I was hoping you can join me for lunch today."
At that, he pulled a chair out for her to sit, and her meal of a salad and a plate full of fruits is what waiting for her as lunch for today.
It happened the night before, but for a week now, she was in pain and there were false starts with contractions. However, the false starts mean her body is ready for labor. Saga prepared the room and their house is ready for the birth of their first child. While he made sure Leanne is comfortable as she is unable to move much if any at all, this is a big event for both of them and he was excited.
He was worried he was annoying the local mid-wife with his phone calls, but she came in everytime to check in if they're all right and they're all smiles. The people in the valley are so nice and always ready to help.
Then a recent snow stormed happened a few days ago, covering the land in snow that had him worried so much that during those days, he frantically worked around the clock to clear the road and shoveling the snow to the side, pouring salt around the property and on the road, so when the big day arrives, everyone will be ready with fewer obstacles. So much bucket of salts was used that day to ensure a safe delivery and arrival.
At last, her water broke and when the baby is ready to come out into the world. The mid-wife came bright and early, attending to Leanne despite delays on the road, Saga's idea to clear the road worked.
Despite not getting enough sleep, he doesn't want to sleep, not when the baby is ready to come out. Even their pets are excited as they sense the baby is being born. Saga was using a camera to make videos and taking pictures to record and hope to share with his fellow Saints back home, and making phone calls to Kanon announcing he'll be an uncle today.
"Honey you're all right? It's going to be all right. Just remember to push and breathe. If you want anything, I can get water and there are fruits and snacks in the fridge." And bring some for the mid-wife too, as she's going to work for hours in their home helping Leanne giving birth.
This week has been a week of hell for her. She was constantly in pain and so much so that she felt like all she did was either sleep or complain about the pain. She even snapped at Saga a few times due to the pain and would immediately feel bad afterwords. She was more than ready for their child to be born.
Like an answer to prayer, during the night, her water broke and all she could feel was pain and her body trying to push their nestling out. The house was filled with her screams as labor pains raked through her.
If looks could kill then the look that Leanne was giving Saga for recording her in this state would have killed him multiple times over.
The amount of pain she was in, there was really nothing like it as she chose to do natural birth. Each time a contraction came, she would scream at the top of her lungs, shifting her position within the nest she built for this purpose.
It was during a quiet moment when the pain wasnt as bad as it usually is that his question came at almost the worst timing. "Does it look like I am okay?!? It hurts! It hurts so much and--!!!" She lets out a scream of pain as a big contraction hits and her body now starts the process of pushing again. So much so that when the mid wife looked to check on her progress, the sight of a small head of hair could be seen, however barely.
At the moment, all that was going through Leanne's mind was the pain and the sheer instincts to push as the mid wife goes to announce the sighting to Saga.
The midwife is doing her best trying to give her pain relief but to no avail. The first birth is always the most painful.
All the snapping, but he was used to it. So this is what giving birth is like. With a grin, he's definitely taking pictures and recording, making a video of it, her first pain was theirs to remember for all time. If looks can kill, Saga is so dead for it, but it's worth it as it's once in a lifetime.
"Shh, it's going to be okay honey. Just push. Breathing." Making breathing sounds, huffing and puffing, but he's a male, what does he knows about labor pains? Trying to be encouraging. He stayed by her side, stroking through her long blonde hair for comfort.
At last, that scream that makes the windows pane and the house trembled. Then at last, the midwife announces that she's seeing the head of the firstborn, and with one final pushy, she managed to cradle the baby out, slimy and gooey from the amniotic fluid and matter, and when the babe open its mouth to cry and scream, greeting the world.
"It's a girl!" Said the midwife, and cradle the screaming babe with the nearby towels to wipe the wetness dry and place the baby girl in Leanne's arms.
"A girl..." Saga said, more than relieved and happy. "It's a girl." Of course, he thought it would be over by now, but he didn't know there's another second bun in the oven, ready to come out...~
Life has been busy since the twins are born. Saga has been a busy father, maintaining the house, their finances, and bills, and managing stock of their farm. There isn't much time to really settle down other than to eat and sleep and set up a schedule to spend time with his wife since he wakes up at the crack of dawn and gets to work, only to slow down to listen to what his wife has to say on her side of her duties on the farm.
One night after having a bath, he's about to go to sleep when his wife got frisky with him and tied ropes around his wrists behind his back. A part of him wondered if she's mad at him and then he remembered tonight is the night he supposed to have sex with her to mate.
"Look, Leanne, I'm sorry. I forgot." He pleaded earnestly. He grunted, his breath became ragged with arousal when she's semi-perched on him and starts touching him, teasing him to get him aroused, helping him remember his husband duties.
With a moan, looking at her with emerald eyes. "...Can I kiss you now?"
Parenthood wasnt what Leanne had expected. Not at all as the twins constantly demanded for her attention and she couldnt ask Saga for help as he was always exhausted being the head of the house and a good father. She was truly lucky to have him as a mate. Rafiel does help out whenever he can, giving Leanne a small break to spend time with Saga. Everything was so much harder now that she lost her powers....
No, not lost. Given to the twins for them to have when they are older. No matter how that was looked at, it made farm and house work a lot harder.
Soon one night came and she decided it was time to let Saga know how much she appreicated him. She remembered one particular kink he had and though it wasnt very lady like... She can indulhe him this one time.
A part of her was surprised that Saga let her tie him up like that and that pleading came. She had him where she wanted him and she hoped that he was enjoying this. She kept her foot near his face, just grinning down at him from where she sat.
"I am not sure~ I dont know if you have been a good enough man yet~ I am not sure that you want it good enough."
Saga is a proud father. He couldn't be any prouder of having the twins being born, raising them, and with his duties as a father, he makes sure they have a safe place to grow up in this house.
Several things came after another that he keeps pushing aside his own needs and while he wondered if he should bother Kanon to send a saint who is interested to come over to live with them and help, so far there's no news or interests yet of a helping hand, so Saga thinks he's doing all right, caring for his new family on his own.
"Hmm, you don't know? I'm pretty sure you picked me to be your husband and mate. That night, we decided this is what we want for us and our children."
Saga felt the ropes tie around his wrists. He wondered if Leanne was even good with tying the knots?
Well, he can't quite reach her foot to kiss that. His wife straddling him with her weight, her soft skin and body heat aroused him. He shifted a little because he is quite hard, his cock slowly becomes erect.
"Of course I want it. I only want to kiss only you, my mate...and um...I'm quite hard right now, you know?"

He visits Leanne and when he greets her, he came with a batch of sunflowers. He hasn't talked to her for a while due to being busy during the week, so he's simply checking her in.
"Hello, Leanne. How is your week? Here, these are for you. They're the last batch. I must apologize they withered quite a bit, but I would like you to have it."
no subject
That is until Saga came over, holding a batch of sunflowers. It was true that she hasn't seen him really as he only came to check on her every once and a while. She still was only eating on and off but goes to offer him a smile.
"The same as last week, Saga. I am just trying to get the last of my harvest done and at least prepare the fields for whatever I may be blessed with this coming season."
He always comes over with a gift or food. She couldn't help but to chuckle as she accepts the sunflowers.
"Thank you, Saga. Would you like to come in? I have a new type of tea brewing in the cold box and I can find a vase for these."
no subject
Though at the end of the week, he tends to worry about her and visit her to see if she's doing all right.
"Ah, that's good. I read in the handbook where it advised to clear the fields before the next season starts. Autumn is around the corner, but I haven't grown any fall crops yet."
With a nod. "Sure, what kind of new tea you have found? I wouldn't mind trying something new that you brew."
no subject
Leanne continues to smile up at Saga and tilts her head. "Really? I haven't even check to see what crops are to be expected to grow. I usually just wait for seeds or to what nature will give me." AKA, she really doesn't do seed shopping.
"I decided to use more nuts with this blend and a different fruit." She explains as she opens the door to her house. "I hope you will like it as much as the other tea."

"I...I brought you something. It's cake and flowers. I thought it would be good to eat with your tea." He said, and when he offered his gift shyly, as he wasn't sure how she will react and receive in his gift. "And these flowers, they are called orchids. I found them when I was out exploring in the desert. They grow there and I thought you might like them."
no subject
Emerald eyes blink at the sight of not only the cake but also the flowers. "What?... They are beautiful, Saga. Thank you." Still not back at her normal happy self but at least, she can make an effort to look that way for him. "Desert? There is a desert here?"
no subject
He isn't kidding considering he looks very tanned and red as he is quite sunburned. "I was there to look for a rare mineral to make a sword, but I couldn't find it. But I did find these flowers...they are orchids." The flower is very pink with symmetrical round petals. "In my world, humans usually give flowers away as gifts. I figured you would like them, as you grow flowers in your garden, but not this type."
no subject
And she is noticing just how tanned and sunburned he is. "They are beautiful, Saga." She blinks at his use of humans... Oh right, from his kind it is okay for him to say it. She goes to use her wings to fly up and give him a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for the flowers. I will be sure to grow the in my garden."
And okay! She moves to put them in a vase before fetching a cloth which has been soaked in cold water, offering it to him with a concerned expression in her eyes.

Until her rowlet came fluttering into her window while she was working in the kitchen. There's a blue ribbon with a fancy parchment note tied to his feet, and the little owl hooted to get her attention. When she discovered the note and unraveled, it was from Saga:
"Dear Leanne,
Do you remember that lake that we went to last week where the cranes and swans were swimming? Can you meet me there for lunch today?"
It seems like their afternoon lunches and tea will be held for a picnic later that day where he will be waiting for her. Saga couldn't pick a better day as the sky is clear with the sun is out.

She almost lost track of time and when she realized that it was almost lunch time, she quickly hurried out of her farmhouse in order to shift and fly to the lake, praying that she wasn't too late.
no subject
She arrived not too late. He was waiting for her. When she flew and landed close by to him as he was waiting by the lake...and there's a table for two being set up with lunch being prepared. He gave her a wave so she can see him when she landed.
"Welcome, Leanne, you're here. Did you get my note? Your owl is a smart bird. I was hoping you can join me for lunch today."
At that, he pulled a chair out for her to sit, and her meal of a salad and a plate full of fruits is what waiting for her as lunch for today.

[Fast forward to Feb.]
Re: [Fast forward to Feb.]

"...Can I kiss you now?"
no subject
No, not lost. Given to the twins for them to have when they are older. No matter how that was looked at, it made farm and house work a lot harder.
Soon one night came and she decided it was time to let Saga know how much she appreicated him. She remembered one particular kink he had and though it wasnt very lady like... She can indulhe him this one time.
A part of her was surprised that Saga let her tie him up like that and that pleading came. She had him where she wanted him and she hoped that he was enjoying this. She kept her foot near his face, just grinning down at him from where she sat.
"I am not sure~ I dont know if you have been a good enough man yet~ I am not sure that you want it good enough."
no subject
